• Prior to the move, we clearly informed the dispatcher that we had heavy items, specifically a refrigerator, and that our residence involved multiple flights of stairs. Despite this, only two young movers were sent, and they were clearly unprepared for the scope of the job. As a result, we had to assist in carrying the majority of our items which defeats the purpose of hiring a professional moving service. Additionally, during the move our refrigerator and other large items were scratched and dented. Several walls were hit and damaged, requiring us to patch and repaint them after the move. On the positive side, the young movers were both respectful and was on time.

• The team was great and they took good care of everything when loading the truck. They also did a great job making sure everything was loaded securely to minimize movement during transit.

• Overall, job got done. Some talking points are below. 1. Communication - I wasn’t contacted by the company to coordinate details for the move, I had to reach out. Even then, it felt as if the job either got overlooked or got resourced last minute, even though the order was made four days prior to the job. Also, it seemed details for the job weren’t communicated well to the movers when they arrived. Not a huge deal for this move, but could be in future moves with larger loads. 2. Military moves - I understand the additional requirements when moving onto a military base. It seemed like the Company had very limited manpower to allocate to military moves such as Fort Irwin, which potentially could’ve caused a significant delay in service (today that didn’t happen, but decent potential for that situation to happen). 3. The move itself went well. Movers were very professional, respectful, and efficient in getting the job done.
