Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
First, i hired two movers. On the day of the move, I was text the movers had car troubles and would be late. Only 1 mover showed up 1.5 hour late. He did an awesome job. However, when I questioned how I was going to be refunded for the mover that did not show...it became very unprofessional. After about 20 minutes, the mover that showed up finally said , he would pay me out of his pocket. Totally unprofessional.
The guys were absolutely super! They were excellent in packing items in the truck and innovative in resolving issues with large sofa that wouldn’t go through the doorway. They got it done!
Movers kept changing the scheduled start time, and ultimately we started at the original time after I moved stuff around for them. They appeared tired from the moment they arrived. They packed poorly, only loading the truck halffull in the allotted time. Once at the new location, i discovered several broken items, including an expensive bottle of liquor, an antique mirror which they covered with a packing blanket in my garage and pretended nothing happened to it, my canister vacuum, and a wooden trim piece on the staircase they carelessly bumped into and damaged. Finally, they let my expensive garage took box roll down the ramp, like playing with a childs toy car and a ramp, ending with the toolbox nearly tipping over. No accountability, no effort to improve. I finally had them leave due to the poor performance and dishonesty. I dont feel like I got my money's worth and I think should be refunded in full. I refuse to tip for such service. Last time was wonderful. Disappointed
