• It started by the crew showing up 2 hours and 15 min late. We requested 2 workers for 2 hours. 5 people showed up - 4 boys and 1 girl. There were very inexperienced. Their packing process was terrible. Many items were disassembled for easy moving, but not assembled for packing, ie, drawers out of dressers etc... When unloading 4 items were broke. An antique glass mirror, a glass front for a bookshelf, a desk, and a small antique end table. Several screws and connecter pieces that were stored with dressers, etc.. are missing. We purchased packing blankets, and many of our nicer furniture items were not protected with blankets and resulted in many scratches. Very bad experience.

  If we would have come with only two people your move would have taken us all week. First off many of your belongings were not packed correctly and there were too many miscellaneous items. We packed them around the truck as best as we could. You were also standing right by the truck as we were loading and we asked multiple times if you were okay with the packing as we worked to make your things as safe as possible. We used nearly every cover we had available. As movers we do not pack items into boxes and a large portion of your things were not even ready when we arrived. Overall this move was very challenging especially since I was initially provided with your Kansas City address instead of the correct one. We do appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to U Haul so we can see what can be done regarding the broken items.
