• I wasn’t contacted about my move until the night before my move was to take place when I was informed, contrary to U-Haul’s guarantee of no hidden charges like stair fees, that the no stair fee only applied to one flight of stairs and, because I was moving to a third floor apartment, I would need to pay extra. When I objected he threatened to renege on the job and leave me deserted with no help. A nice piece of blackmail that I was forced to accept because I was a woman alone with no other recourse. I have moved many times and dealt with many different movers and, sadly, this is just another case of a dishonest moving company taking advantage of a lone woman with no other help. I would never hire them again and would never trust U-Haul’s ‘no hidden fees’ claim again. This was my first time using U-Haul and it will be my last. Unfortunately the mover’s conduct reflects poorly on U-Haul as well.

• Ron and team was very helpful. I had a snag with getting the key which delayed the move time. Ron was very flexible to assist and come up with an alternative game plan that worked. They loaded the vehicle in less than 2 hours and made sure that they had everything in the truck that I was taken. I am quite pleased and will use them in the future when needed.
