• Movers were due at 9, confirmed via text. Nobody showed up at 9, and there was no communication regarding being late. After texting + calling twice, got a text at 915 that they would look into it. Got a call at 930 saying they would send people over. Movers were ultimately an hour + 45 min late. Upon arriving, they were friendly and apologetic. When they arrived, I let them know I have a cat. One of the movers must have had an allergy and had to stop for a bit due to symptoms while the other mover left to go to the store to get allergy medications and was gone for about 20 min. The movers strictly stuck to their time frame despite them being late and not working the full duration of the 2 hours. Lastly, the truck was disorganized and disheveled, with fragile boxes placed on their sides, the TV stacked diagonally on uneven objects, and the mattress against the door of the truck. I’m hoping nothing will have broken when we go to unpack. Would not recommend.

  Thank you for selecting Heavy Lifters. Im sorry to hear about your experience. We did have a push back to our set time due to an unexpected morning call out which I made aware to you around 9 20 am once I had full detail of the situation, we had 2 teams out as I let you know that I was at that moment on a move but due to the situation upon leaving I would be directly in route to you. Yes, unfortunately my guy did receive some heavy irritation that affected the work due to animal allergies. I made a calculated stop at Giant Eagle that was by Google Maps 3 mins away. So roughly yes 13 minutes was used so we could complete the job efficiently. We did finish under time. As the packer I can assure that each box that was fragile I kept together or higher up between the attic and strategic placement, I spaced items out strategically due to the size of truck. The TV box wedged in between two open desk posts to assure stability and a set home, with the mattress as the door for extra cushion.

• I recently hired your service through the UHaul app. I scheduled the service for the morning and selected a 4-hour time block because our move involved loading items from a third-floor apartment. I also chose the Load and Unload option. Unfortunately, the service did not begin until 530 PM, by which time my wife and I had already completed the entire loading process ourselves. While the helpers who eventually arrived were professional and hardworking, the overall service was disappointing. I paid for four hours of help and both loading and unloading assistance, but we only received partial support. I find it unfair and unethical that this company overbooks its services, which often leaves customers to do a significant portion of the work on their own.

  Hey Mr. Pacheco, thank you for selecting Heavy Lifters. I remember our predicament and specific moving day. Unfortunately the day you scheduled we experienced torrential flash flood rain fall in Pittsburgh for about 3hrs straight starting at 930 am and off and on until the afternoon. We kept in touch and updated all of our customers (5 jobs) letting them know the day would be most likely delayed solely due to the rain. Operating with 3 men and a 2.5 hr delay slowed us down leading to us arriving to you and starting much later than anticipated. We do apologize for that as we explained initially. As far as booking we have no control over the amount of time you select or the amount of belongings you have so we never know how fast we will be. We did arrive late due to weather push back and started and finished your entire unload in about an hour, unaware until arrival that you completed your load. Short on characters but I assure you there was nothing unethical sir. Thank you again.
