I would not recommend Helping Hands Movers. The movers themselves were kind and hardworking, but management, scheduling, and communication were terrible. I booked through U-Haul and confirmed an 830am start time with management weeks in advance. We arrived with our rental truck, only for the movers to be over two hours late. Management excused the delay by saying their time didn’t begin until they arrived, despite having the addresses and schedule well in advance. As a result, we had to do all the work ourselves at the first location and meet the movers at the second. We also had to extend our U-Haul rental by three hours, costing us additional time and money because of their poor planning. Calls went unanswered, communication was almost entirely by text, and there were issues with the original crew showing up. I appreciate the workers who eventually helped us, but the company’s poor organization and lack of accountability made an already stressful move worse.
