• I paid for 2 movers, but only 1 showed up due to an emergency. I was asked to help despite being in my 40s, an engineer, and not having lifted anything heavy in more than 20 years. Together, we moved a 3-seater pull-out couch, 2-seater, king mattress, 12 boxes, over100 kg each, bikes, and more into a 12by6 UHaul trailer. While in my home, the helper, Stefan, made me send the payment code. The workload caused severe back pain, I was on the ground for 4 to 6 hours. I called the company; their only offer was $400 extra for help in Edmonton. My 2 seater sofa’s wooden frame was broken. I couldn’t lift, and only 1 mover showed up. I waited to report this until we arrived in Edmonton. Sadly, many high-value items were left behind, iPads, laptops, desks, tools, etc., worth in the thousands. I’m exhausted and devastated.

• Paid for 2 hours and of moving and the movers only came for 1.5 hours. They also damaged a bunch of our furniture.

• Helper was prompt, cooperative, friendly and demonstrated flexibility when asked to extend his time, as we ran a little late.
