• We would not recommend using Smooth Moves based on our recent experience moving our 1-bedroom, ground floor apartment to another 1-bedroom apartment on the same city street. Biggest problems - the movers did not assess what furniture and items needed to be moved onto the truck in an efficient manner, the truck was loaded haphazardly, and all items to be moved didn't make it into the truck in one trip. The crew boss challenged the apartment building management on move out procedures that we had clearly explained, wasting time and causing ill will. They refused to use the moving blankets we provided, resulting in scratched wood furniture and fabric pieces getting scuffed and dirty. Even though the crew arrived on time, they did not finish the job in the original estimated time - first time we've had that happen in the three times we've moved our stuff from a 1-bedroom apartment to another.
