I rented a UHaul truck and reserved two helpers to assist with my move for 5 hours. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 7 AM this morning. However, I received a text at 634 AM stating they were running late and would not arrive until 8 AM. They showed up shortly after 8 AM. When they arrived, both movers smelled strongly of marijuana. My UHaul truck was due back by 1 PM. Because of their late arrival, I lost an hour of moving time. As the day progressed, it got hotter, and we had to take hydration breaks. Additionally, the movers took multiple breaks to smoke in their vehicle. Near the end of the scheduled time, the company manager called me to ask if the movers were still working and informed me that the time was up. He said I would need to pay for an extra hour if there was still work to be done. I told the movers that they had arrived late, we had lost the cooler morning hours, and now I was running behind returning the truck. They assured me they would complete free.
