Does this require buying a separate box spring, or can this be used on top of a simple plywood support?

Hi Tim, this mattress can be used with both or box spring or a plywood support. However, if you are using plywood support you'll want to make sure it meets spacing and support requirements. I hope this helps, thank you for reaching out!
