What is the best way to store a leather sofa? Should I cover the sofa with a plastic sofa storage bag?

Will this work for a sectional couch or do I need to buy 2 of these?
For a sectional, two covers would be required.
Does the sofa fit inside and the cover can be closed or does it just lay over the top?
It lays over the top.

Our purchasing group writes: "The thickness of the polyethylene is 2 mil and 134” x 42 “."

I need to move my couch in the pouring rain. Will this protect it from getting wet?
Our moving supplies program manager writes: "The sofa cover will protect your furniture from moisture and dirt and they are water resistant, however not waterproof. You may want to use two covers and ensuring full coverage is highly recommended if they're used in the pouring rain."
Will this protected my sofa from mold and mildew?
"The sofa cover slips on top of the sofa to protect against dirt and debris and has an open bottom. Depending on the size of your sofa, you may want to look at our sealable mattress bags. They are made with Microban antimicrobial material that will protect against the growth of mold and mildew and include adhesive strips for sealing."

The sofa cover slips over the top of the sofa and is open at the bottom. You may want to look into using a Sealable Mattress Bag to fully encase the sofa (if the sofa will fit in the available sizes).

Are their different sizes, or just one general size?

I have an 89" long sofa- will this cover the entire sofa and can I seal it shut with tape?
