UHaul products are great but the guarantee that you can return unused products with a receipt for a refund was difficult at best and more often impossible. I purchased over $600 of UHaul boxes (most of them online during COVID-19) but when I attempted to return them to stores I was told that they would not accept them. I attempted to return boxes to six different locations. One location reluctantly agreed to accept some of them after I persisted. But a store in Georgia where I attempted to return the last few boxes that I didn’t use refused to give me a refund. They offered to take the boxes because they were running low on inventory but would not give me a refund. I called UHaul and was transferred to a customer service manager who suggested I try to return them when COVID-19 was over. My advice: Only buy what you need because returning the boxes for credit won’t be possible.

Is the cushion foam latex free? What exactly is it made up of?

–Tiffany D. 4/16/2020 3:17:37 PM

Hello, Tiffany! Our cushion foam is latex-free and is made of polyethylene. Thanks for asking!

Is the Foam Cushion toxic to children? I was going to wrap some corners of some furniture to avoid head injuries and then thought about what if the baby bits into it. Is it going to hurt him.

–Rhonda Hemling 10/5/2018 8:46:01 AM

Hey, Rhonda! While we do recommend using our cushion foam to wrap furniture while moving or storing, we do not recommend it for the purpose you describe. It is made of plastic which is toxic when consumed and poses a choking hazard. We recommend purchasing something child-safe that is specifically designed to soften furniture corners. Thank you!

*Where* can I recycle U-Haul Cushion Foam? I see that the question has been asked previously, but it was not answered. I don't want to know *if* it can be recycled—I know that it can be. Everything can be recycled with the appropriate amount of effort. So, to reiterate, *where* can I recycle Cushion Foam?

–Dave 8/9/2018 10:37:29 AM

Hi, Dave! Where cushion foam can be recycled depends on your location. We recommend contacting a recycling center near you to determine what can be recycled and how you would go about recycling cushion foam. I hope that is helpful!

How do these compare to bubble wrap? Thanks.

–Clarice Taylor Bell 12/14/2016 2:04:25 PM

Cushion foam is a little bit thinner, so if space is an issue then it is an effective way to protect fragile items. Meanwhile, the air bubbles in our Enviro-bubble leave a slightly a larger space between items, which means especially fragile items will be a little bit safer when wrapped in Enviro-Bubble. But overall, the two products both offer great protection when it comes to packing for your move and either option will generally do the job.

Why is it priced differently? Ship this $4.95 & Pickup in Store $6.25?

–Alex 8/6/2014 2:04:53 PM

As noted ..... "Enter your zip code to check product availability at U-Haul locations near you. Prices may vary by location. " Thanks.

–Ronald 8/6/2014 2:48:48 PM

why was this around 9$ in the store but shows 5$ here on-line?

–mike 7/19/2014 2:28:52 PM

Online and Uhaul company owned centers have the same pricing. Uhaul dealer pricing may vary.

–Ronald 7/21/2014 2:37:13 PM

do you know if these are acid free

–kyle Mullen 7/18/2014 3:15:08 PM

Hello, Kyle! Our cushion foam is acid free. Thank you for asking!

–Savannah 7/3/2017 2:24:24 PM

How many sheets are in one pack?

–Sheilah 11/20/2013 3:25:41 PM

The cushion foam is 40' in length with perforations every 12". If you tore the foam at every 12" perforation, it would be 40 total sheets.
