Great product. Wrapped up frozen meat and vegetables, place sealed bags in large ice chest and things were still in perfect shape when we arrived at our new location.

These work excellent. After a few hours in very hot weather, over 90F, the frozen items were still frozen when we got them to our new home.

I am looking forward to using this not only for the move but also when I go grocery shopping.

when do the frig packs start keeping cold, like from the time you open the package or from the time the package is picked up? I have a 5 day move and I have insulin that needs to be kept cold.

–teresa richardson 6/23/2018 9:16:40 PM

Hey, Teresa! The fridge pouches begin keeping items cold once ice, dry ice or frozen gel packs are added on top of the items in the pouch. Although the fridge pouch could potentially work for keeping insulin cold for a 5 day move, we strongly recommend speaking with your healthcare provider to determine exactly how to pack the insulin properly. Thank you!

Please advise size for medium ? Also please advise if you have these as blankets in case are not large enough for our needs.

The small size pouch fits inside a small U-Haul box, which is 16-3/8" x 12-5/8" x 12-5/8" (WxLxH).

The medium size pouch fits inside a medium U-Haul box, which is 18" x 18" x 16 (WxLxH). I'm sorry, We do not carry this material in blanket form.

How long will this keep food cold? More specifically, will it keep frozen items fully frozen for an entire day, during a local move? Would ice need to be packed in it as well, or just the frozen food?

–LauraC 8/26/2014 12:24:01 AM

"Food will be kept cold approximately 24-48 hours. Gel ice packs are recommended to pack along with the food. To keep frozen items FULLY frozen for an entire day, you would want to use 5 to 7 pounds of dry ice."
