Hi Louis! These are made of compressed, recycled cotton fibers with a double-stitched border. They are made to protect from scratching and damage while moving and storing. I am sure they can provide some warmth, but they weren't made with that in mind. I hope that helps.

I need a portable vehicle cover for when hail is in the forecast. Our upholsterer said he could stitch 4 or 6 together. I see they’re water absorbent, not water repellent. Is there any reason you can think of not to try this idea? It would be for a pickup. It would be draped over the vehicle.
