We were set to receive the tank today and it was not delivered. I have had to call customer service twice and the representative was very nice and had excellent customer service and he stated that the tank was on back order. I have asked that the representative (Dave) ask if we could have our tank filled for free since we did not cancel our order to go somewhere that had the tanks in stock. He was checking with his supervisor when I spoke with him on 11/28/18. So far, we haven't been very pleased with our purchase but the customer services has been good.

I plan on mounting my 100 lb tank to my food trailer. Can I have it filled that way at a UHaul filling station or do you need to be able to take if off the trailer each time?

–Dawn McBride 1/22/2021 7:08:16 PM

That would be a question for the Centers. You need to take into a U-Haul Center first to have the tank purged before filling. Thank you

–Savannah 5/20/2019 9:51:39 AM

Two things: First, as you sell propane by the gallon, why doesn't the description for the tank you sell indicate the capacity in gallons? Second, as the tank needs to be purged before its first use, does U-Haul purge the tank when I get it filled?

–Chad 5/2/2019 6:24:25 PM

Hi, Chad! This 100 lb. steel propane tank holds approximately 23.6 gallons of propane. Your local U-Haul Propane Center can purge and fill your tank. Thank you!
