can the carpet film protector product be used on hardwood floors?

–Dave 11/12/2013 4:48:44 PM

No, this product should not be used on hardwood floors. U-Haul furniture pads are a great alternative to keeping the floor safe and they are also reusable!

What about an epoxy concrete floor?

This product is not recommended to be used on concrete floors. Thank you.

The package says it can be used for up to 30 days, but an answer here says it's only recommended to be in place for 48-72 hours. Which is correct?

–Kathy 7/26/2014 11:38:41 AM

"This product can be used for up to 30 days on carpet."

–Ronald 7/29/2014 8:10:07 AM

We've been told this May leave sticky residue on carpet so better not to use. What is real life experience?

–Leslie 8/8/2014 8:08:47 PM

Our moving supplies program manager writes: "My experience with the product is that it does not leave a sticky residue on the carpet. In fact it's so gentle that you would want to vacuum first to ensure good adhesion."

What happens if you leave it on a carpet for more than 30 days?

–Kevin 5/24/2017 7:35:27 AM

Hi, Kevin! This product is intended for short-term use to protect carpet. It is not recommended that this product be left on carpet for more than 30 days. If you need protection for your carpet for longer than 30 days, I would recommend our Tarp Covers as they can be used for a longer period of time. I hope that is helpful!
