The product looks to be good quality unfortunately the shipping process sucks. I received the lights the day after I had left to go to North Carolina to tow the vehicle home. I ordered them a week before I left so their was time to send them if they would have gotten after it. Uhaul screwed this move up from the tow dolly to the shipping of the lights so I’d recommend the lights but not so much uhaul.

We had our wiring done at Uhaul. Hooked up our trailer, but the fuse does not hold lights for more than 20 min. My question is I need to travel with it today. If purchase magnetic signal lights will they function and is it legal to tow the trailer with only those yellow signal lights?

–R. Sullivan 11/12/2017 6:20:47 AM

Hello! Trailers must have proper brake, tail, turn, running light, and license plate lighting. Please visit your local U-Haul Hitch Center for trailer wiring diagnostics and repair. Thank you!

–Joseph 2/1/2016 1:35:29 PM

do I need this using a tow dolly towing a pontiac sunfire

–dennis 11/4/2015 7:00:12 PM

Even though the tow dolly has operating lights the law requires that a vehicle-in-tow rear-end be equipped with functioning stop, turn and running lights. The MTOW magnetic towing lights are ideal for your application.

–Joseph 11/9/2015 8:55:01 AM

Are these lights LED?

–James 10/26/2015 8:56:46 AM

–Joseph 11/2/2015 10:25:31 AM

Can I attach these to the back of a camper I'm buying? My truck doesn't have a hook up spot for any plug and I want to attach these to the back of the camper.

–Brad 4/4/2015 2:25:19 PM

Similar to your camper tail lights, the power to the magnetic tow-a-lights are supplied by a vehicles towing harness. For your situation, it is recommended to have your local U-Haul hitch store equip your vehicle with the towing harness that matches your camper trailer wire harness. For complete parts and pricing, please call or visit your local U-Haul center.

Thank you!

Our vehicle has a hitch but not lights hook up. Will these magnetic lights work on a trailer for tail lights? If so how do these lights hook up to the lights in the vehicle that will be towing the trailer? The vehicle will be a 2012 honda pilot.

Hello, I plan on towing my 2007 Honda Accord behind the 17' U-Haul truck using the tow dolly. Would like clarification on the requirement for vehicle-in-tow rear-end lighting. The tow dolly users instruction states, "Even though the tow dolly has operating lights the law requires that a vehicle-in-tow rear-end be equipped with functioning stop, turn and running lights. Detachable vehicle-in-tow towing lights can be purchased at your U-Haul Center or dealer." Asked a couple of Customer Service personnel if these detachable lights are normally in-stock or do I need to order them. The first guy didn't know what I was talking about, and the second said I didn't need them. "There are working lights on the truck and tow dolley." Please clarify for me. Do I need the detachable lights or not. Thanks

–F. Garza 5/2/2014 4:39:26 AM
