If I buy the Brake Control Adapter 13505 and a controller do I need a fuse. The Yukon looks like it is tow ready, no controller.

Our hitch pro writes: "From 1992 to 2015, the Yukon has had a few changes in its tow package and how trailer brake controls are installed. Some models use plug and play adaptors while others have open end wiring harnesses folded up in the dash area. Most models require connecting the brake control positive/ power wire to a designated fused power post located on the power distribution box in the engine compartment. To know which parts and install method works best for your vehicle, please visit your local U-Haul hitch center."

Will this fit a 2005 Tacoma that did not come with a tow package?

–Justin 1/2/2015 2:21:04 PM

"13505 will not fit the 2005 Toyota Tacoma. For complete brake control parts and pricing, please call or visit your local U-Haul center."

Is this the correct adaptor for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma prerunner? Also is this all I need to make the lights on the rented trailer work? Flat four plug.

"For your vehicle U-Haul recommends the 4-flat quick connect CQT118449 or the splice option 4-flat tail light converter part 14486."

Have an 05 Toyota Sequoia with 4 wheel drive. I'm renting a 4x8 enclosed trailer. I have a hitch, what ball mount (drop or rise) and wiring adapter do I need?

–Glenn 7/30/2014 3:56:18 PM

"Please contact your local U-Haul center and schedule a free towing inspection. The U-Haul staff can quickly inspect your trailer wiring harness, measure your hitch ground clearance and provide the readily available wiring adapter, ball mount and ball needed for your vehicle and trailer combination."

What is brake control adapter 13505 and why do I need this. I have a lexus g460 that already have a hitch installed by lexus.

–richard 3/4/2014 11:57:20 AM

Our hitch pro writes: Your vehicle is equipped with an OE factory installed brake control wiring harness. Part 13505 plugs into this harness and the brake control unit is then attached to part 13505. You will need 13505 as well as a brake control unit if you plan on towing a trailer equipped with electric brakes.
