Grate fast efficient

Staff was friendly and helpful. The work was completed in a timely manner. I went there on a recommendation from Niese Tire Service in Bluffton Ohio.

They could be more punctual about marking the job as completed in the system and reaching out to the customer via call/text for pickup. I called the location to check myself if the installation was done around 1-2pm after dropping off at 7:15am. My call triggered the job to be marked as “completed” in the app and at that point I was advised to come pick up. With moving, time is always precious, it would’ve been nice to have more effort put in to notifying me asap when the installation was complete to pickup my vehicle.

Fast work. I especially liked that Lee called me to tell me he had a cancelation so I could go in earlier.

Great great people Injustice now have multiple warnings lights and audible warning sounds constantly going off. The side marker indicator lights in both side mirrors are always on. No warnings or audible alerts prior now will not clear or stop. This needs to be fixed asap but now I’m in Richmond, KY. Someone needs to make this right!

Mannie did an outstanding job with my hitch and wiring install on my 2025 Equinox EV. He took extra time to make sure the wiring was correct and everything was fully working before I left. What really stood out was how clean the install was—he neatly trimmed the cover to fit the hitch perfectly and made sure there were no wires hanging or anything sloppy. Everything looks factory-done. That level of attention to detail is hard to find. Highly recommend.

I noted that my newly installed hitch did not have a “ cover” ( for a 2”) . Unaware if kit came with one or not. I wish I was advised about it.

Fast and friendly service. My only hesitation was that it’s a drop off and takes a few hours to get the install complete but as long as you have a ride it’s easy peasy! I’m very impressed with Uhaul and this service/install!

Hitch experience was great, quickly installed! This location doesn’t stock all of the box offerings. It is an inconvenience to have to go to multiple stores for all box needs.

This location accepts while you wait appointments, unlike the location in McKinney on 380 near highway 75. I arrived 15 min early. My installation was started about my appt time. It took 1 hr 45 min. Then my previously owned insert shaft was too short for my new KIA. They switched it out for a longer one remounting my ball on it. All in all a good experience. The Mgr Brad and the installer were cordial and professional. I recommend this location.

You really could use a decent waiting room, not a very small office with metal chairs. Not the best seats for 70 year olds. With that said the service was top notch! Everyone was very polite & courteous also. We were in/out in about 20 minutes.

Really great customer service. Annamarie was super helpful in ordering the parts and scheduling the installation of a trailer hitch. The installer showed me how it works. The young salesman even got on the ground to show me where it was (hidden)! Who knew!

Change nothing I worked for U-HAUL back in the 90s and your place clean , Kool, bathrooms spotless, and most of all it was a pleasure when my wife and I walked in your business and every one greeted us and friendly attuned offered a cold water and where the chairs were to sit wile we waited for the hitch and wiring put in. Only complaint was my appointment was at 10 and my Insulation didn’t get started till 1045

Provide facilities for customers waiting for hitch installation. Had to wait it out at a public park across the street. Glad it wasn't winter. Oddly, when I originally made the appointment online, your app gave me the choice of waiting or returning. Overall, however, the work was excellent. But I would recommend to anyone scheduling work there to check the weather forecast first.

Outstanding customer service. My only complaint is that the trailer light plug is not mounted in any way…just hanging there. Wish I would’ve known that going in. I will have to figure out a way to mount it. Otherwise, they were great to work with.

I came in needing a hitch and Tanish D. and Ash S. jumped up to help me quickly. Tanish gave me all the information I needed about products and Ash came out to help me evaluate my trucks connections and wiring to determine what I needed to for my future towing. Much better than the average customer service I am used to. Both of them were lovely and helped. The installation was done within an hour. I would recommend this hitch installation.

My installer went above and beyond to make sure that my hitch was installed, even though we accidentally went to the wrong location and arrived late to our appointment. The service was exceptional. And both employees on duty were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Josh went above and beyond to help me get a hitch on my vehicle in the time I was needing, even as his store was down an installer! Josh stepped in to install it himself. He also rectified an error on the via the application to match a hitch for my vehicle - at not change to my cost. That was so genuinely appreciated as I’m on a very tight budget with an unexpected cross country move. Would recommend this location for all your U-Haul needs!

Wish it hadn’t taken so long

All good.. The technician named Alex is very excellent.. He is very nice and he did a great job for my vehicle with Hitch installation.. He did not break or cut anything the sensor at the back of my vehicle. Instead, he just removed it so that I can still use it and install in future.. He has a lot of knowledge by installing the hitch. Im very satisfied for his service.

It was a bit pricey otherwise nothing else

I already had the hitch and just needed the electric installed. It took them 3 hours to complete this which I thought was excessive. Granted it was an import car (Audi Q7), just a long wait. The completed work is great and the customer service was excellent.

First, the staff up front who scheduled me were very helpful and responsive. The technician that installed was great and battled for hours to make the wiring work. My average rating is for setting expectations for how long to install. I only needed the wiring harness and was told it would take 2 hours. It took 6- not a fault of the technician. Apparently German cars are difficult and it just takes tha long. U-Haul should update their installation times for complex car installs.

The installer who took care of us today needs a promotion. Seriously. He was so professional, explained everything to us and took the time to fix the hitch correctly. Hands down best service we’ve ever received from a U-Haul and we’ve been renting from U-Haul fairly consistently in California and Tennessee over the last 15 years. I can’t recommend him and the Brentwood location enough.

I first went the Dadeland Mall location and it was a complete disaster. The staff was zero assistance and also sold me the wrong item and didn’t give it to me. I went to Medley location instead and it was great customer service and fast. I’ll not try Dadeland again.

Let customers know that hitch installation does not include trailer wiring. I am capable of doing that myself but many people would have no idea how to do it. I had another place I was going to use for a little more money that included the wiring. I assumed that was included at uhaul.

Don’t allow appointments to be made on website at 0700am if the tech doesn’t even start his day until 0830am. We had to wait nearly 2hrs

Took way longer than originally planned, but because the installers had to work around some issues with the kit that was sent for the installation ( bolts were poor quality). They did a great job with what they had and didn’t settle for a crappy install.

For those customers that have to wait, in my case approximately 3+ hours, a method of making coffee would have been nice. Just saying. Cheers

I highly recommend this U-Haul facility for hitch installation. My first impression was when I walked through the entrance. The store was clean and well organized. I was greeted by a friendly receptionistwho quickly accessed my reservation. I was told what to expect, given an estimate on how long the installation would take and informed that I would receive a text message when my vehicle was ready. The installation was done in a timely manner, well within the timeframe I was told. When I did a walk around of my car, there was no damage to the bumper and the hitch was installed as expected. I’m very pleased with the entire process and will recommend this specific U-Haul facility to anyone needing similar service.

My installation turned out to be a difficult and challenging one. Shawn persevered, he called several co-workers attempting to resolve the issue. Upon completion the job had been done using parts that were cheaper than the original quote. It has been a long time since work on one of my vehicles came in under the original bid. It has made me a customer for life. Shawn held the utmost professionalism throughout the process and was even coaching other employees along the way. I can't thank you enough for putting him in charge of this location. He is doing an excellent job. Seeing the workload he is capable of juggling I think he would be an excellent candidate for promotion, raise, and or more vacation. He is earning it everyday, and making the Schoen family proud.

Gave them my van, UHaul installed a Lifetime Warranty hitch! ...and it looks good.

Communicate delays. I was scheduled for 10:00 and was going to wait the 3 hours. I got a ride and my wife’s app showed no one touched car until 2:00. This was a big inconvenience as I made plans later that day. The work was excellent and everyone was professional, but no communication.

Had an 11am appointment, but the hitch installation pro wasn't scheduled until noon.

I was serviced by a gentleman named Erin. Despite the fact that he was understaffed due to vacation leave of other employees, Erin took me right in as per my scheduled appointment to install a trailer hitch on my 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz. He simultaneously took care of my needs as well as other customers that entered the store. Again, this poor guy was understaffed due to scheduled employee PTO. Erin never complained once and took care of everything in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner. His installation was clean and neat. They have the right equipment and supplies to support your moving needs. Staff is exceptionally helpful. But as with any U-Haul, understaffed.

We had a great experience with Devin. Everything had gone wrong that day with our hitch electrical not working when trying to hook up a trailer rental at another location. It required service and Devin was the only one who would take us that day so we didn’t have to delay our move too much. He literally saved the day fixing our hitch and was also able to transfer our rental to his location so we didn’t have to drive back to the other location to pick up our rental. That being said, we were a little upset with U-Haul for changing our original reservation to a different location farther away last minute which greatly delayed our plans to move before encountering additional problems. Devin was the only thing that made this reservation go well so please thank him and give him the recognition he deserves for handling our situation with skill, professionalism and kindness.

I had an excellent experience with Kyle, Eric, and the rest of the crew at the Toms River Route 9 U-Haul location. Despite my late arrival, the team went out of their way to accommodate my hitch installation and ensured everything was completed efficiently and correctly. They were professional, courteous, and clearly focused on customer service, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I was also able to complete the rental trailer agreement without any issues, thanks to their attention to detail and willingness to help. Truly a great team—highly recommend this location for anyone needing hitch work or trailer rentals.

The installation of my tow hitch took the entire day 0800-1800, and I had been told it would take 2 hours and stayed on site the entire time. My car is a Porsche Cayenne and I suspect it was the first your installer had done. He was trying very hard but it was hard for one man to do it evidently. The installer was very pleasant and friendly and suggested I receive the installation charge as a refund, but I didn't want him to have to pay for it. I prefer your location for all my rentals and will continue.

This review is about Jean, who installed my trailer tow package. He was efficient and timely. After the install he explained everything in detail on how to use. He made it very easy. I would give him a 5 star but the facility waiting area was not really comfortable.

I can’t think of anything. The person I spoke with was so nice and helpful. She emailed me right away to confirm our conversation. Nowadays, that is very rare. Good job.

Within 30 minutes I had my car ready. Carl was the installer, very quickly I could not believe he said he would do it in 30 minutes.

Too bad they don’t include the ball in the hit hitch installation like they did when my daughter got her installed in Ottawa.

Paul the owner and the team of employees were great kind knowledgeable and understanding. They helped me greatly after I had a bad experience with the other U-Haul location at 716 capital blvd in which the 716 capital blvd location I would not recommend. But this location at 3001 capital Blvd I would greatly recommend to anyone who has a need for any of U-Hauls services. Thank you 3001 capital Blvd U-Haul Paul and team.

The staff at the store and installer were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would whole heartedly recommend this location to anyone needing a hitch installed.

Have a snack or coffee machine available for individuals that have to wait for their service to be completed. The team that worked that day did their extreme best to ensure that I had a comfortable place to wait, even though it wasn't an official waiting space. They were all very nice and determined to do a great job.

THey forgot to include the Receiver part and the 2 inch ball. Still need to have that refunded. THanks.

Professional staff, clean environment, fast service

Installation was great very neat job staff very professional and friendly. Only complaint is changing reservation prescheduled secondary to installer not on duty was inconvenience however all worked out.

The Uhaul workers at North Florida Avenue are simply incredible. They went above and beyond to help me, and honestly were life savers. There was a scheduling mishap with my appt, and they still got my hitch installed so I was able to leave on time for trip. Truly good human beings.

Install a waiting area; so that customers can use while waiting on their vehicles.

The hitch itself is great and the installation was done quickly and efficiently. I am having a problem with the bicycle rack they sold me as the design of it drops too low and impacts the tarmac on bumps. They should have known and advised me on a different rack.

mixed feelings besides it taking 5 hrs to install I had to rewire my sound system cause the wires had been pull off but the staff their was very nice far as that

The workers were nice and helpful to sort out any issues/questions. I was able to get everything I needed even after closing time. The inside room doesn't have A/C, but it does have industrial fans.

Through no fault of his own, the manager at York was unable to install my hitch as scheduled. He got on the phone and the GM, Allen, in Columbia agreed to install it himself. Fantastic service!

My appointment was changed without notice. I called and spoke to Jay. He was able to get my hitch installed on the original date scheduled. Had he not put forth the effort I would have cancelled my order and purchased elsewhere.

The only thing that might make the experience better would be if the work was free.

Such a great experience! They got me in right away in the morning, accommodated a welcoming environment for my grandma and I, and it only took an hour.

Pay attention to the confirmation email & date scheduled- I was verbally given one date - the confirmation email had a different date that I would not have agreed to. So when I showed up on Wednesday-when I thought my appointment was - they could not do it that day - my appointment was 2 weeks out - however the staff did make an appointment for that Friday and put the hitch on with no further issues. So read your emails folx!
