The staff knew the truck was 2 miles away the entire rental period. I called in. They called me. They KNEW I WAS keeping it longer because I'm dealing with evicting a tenant. I was charged THREE TIMES with an additional almost $200. I was also yelled at by the owner twice on 2 different calls and HUNG UP ON. The staff knew i had the truck. Did not notify me that there were late fees even though they knew I safely had the truck and stayed in touch during the 9 days. The truck was driven 5 miles TOTAL. Straight home. And back. Also I was not given a receipt to review when I returned the truck. As nice as some of the employees are this is completely unprofessional conduct ESPECIALLY by an owner. He yelled at me because his staff did NOT put notes in the system that we had spoken and I still had the truck. That is not my responsibility. I do not like to ever give poor service. Ever. And in this case I am angry and disappointed that I was overcharged. When I notified them I was keeping the trick. THAT WAS THE TIME TO NOTIFY ME I WAS SUBJECT TO FEES.

Jim GReceived a text that the van would be reported stolen 2 days after I returned it. I guess no one checked it in or whatever they do in the system, for 3 days. I called and the guys said ok I'll take care of it and hung up on me. The vans are always filthy, the door is broken and won't close all the way and the oil needs to be changed. I'm sure that will be blamed on a customer when it breaks down. These guys are supremely lazy and uninterested in my business.
Joseph RMy problem is not with the location, as they were FANTASTIC, and friendly. My issue is with U-haul, I placed a reservation on a Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon I got a call saying the place I reserved from does not rent out trailers, so after 25 min they finally found me a spot to pick up, Tuesday morning. I drive 35 min there and I am told they do not have working trailers, its been broken since Sunday night they say. So called Uhaul again, and now they send me to another location. When I created the new reservation for the same transaction they tell me a representative will call me to discuss some compensation for the run around a d traveling back and forth. I finally got my trailer and alls well. But when I get to my destination and empty it out I see there is a Uhaul 9 min away from me (not 35 min) so I call to see if I can drop off there instead. The answer I get is NO your reservation states to return where you picked it up from. I didn't need any compensation (which by the way I never got a call from anyone yet...) but this could have been the simplest solution for all parties to be happy! Point is, you must call location in advance to male sure your rental is there and ready before traveling all the way there, even if its a 10 min or especially a 30 min drive!!
