The people we dealt with were excellent, and the truck we rented was above expectations, over all a very pleasing experience and would definately rent from there again and would highly recommend to friends & family

When we called to report that the trailer running lights were not working they tried to tell me it was due to the weight of the truck and that we should not have put the car on the trailer before loading the truck.

I have never been so poorly treated by anyone in the service industry! We returned the van a half hour early. Having used about $3 worth of gas we failed to fill it up to the halfway mark. The women who works there (owners daughter) called us to say they would charge us because we didn't fill it up or we could come back and take it out again to fill it up. Since we still had the van technically for another half hour we decided to do that. This was obviously not the option they wanted as they were missing out on the opportunity to charge. I was told that I better "hurry up because the van was being rented again". Odd since I didn't have to return it for another 20 mins! When we returned the owners car was parked in front of the van. We clearly couldn't "hurry up" since they had to move their car. The second driver on the van, who owns her own business and rents vans all the time, remarked how she has returned vans before where there was only a bit of gas used and it hasn't been an issue. She then remarked that she just won't be renting from them again. The owners daughter then said "Well forget it, I'm just charging you for the gas! I don't need this!" Please remember that we are here to take out the van to fill it up and we still technically have paid to rent it for another 20mins. I don't see how they are allowed to just charge us for gas because they don't like us telling them we won't rent from them ever again! What kind of customer service is that! Since it was my credit card I followed the woman into the office and she kept telling me that she doesn't need to take this and that she was going to charge me an extra $30 essentially because she didn't like how the other driver talked to her! I kept saying that it wasn't me and this is my credit card. And also I wanted the opportunity to take the van out to fill it up. Nope, she wasn't giving us the keys unless the other driver came in and apologized. Then the owner (father) comes and says that if I give him $10 in cash he will let it go! Unbelievable! What kind of a shady scam do they have going on there! Not only were we refused to go out and fill the van with gas which is what we were within our rights to do but they were just going to charge my credit card because they didn't like being told that we wouldn't rent from them again! Not only were we verbally abused we were threatened that our complaints didn't matter because the woman's reviews were great. It's absolutely disgusting the way were treated. I don't care if we came in there swearing and cursing we should have been treated like a customer which is what we were. I'll also be contacting head office regarding this as I don't take kindly to someone threatening to charge my credit card for no good reason. In the end she waived the charges for the gas but only because I clearly wasn’t leaving unless she did that or let us fill it up ourselves.
