We called a couple of days in advance and reserved a 4x8 trailer with a credit card. We were in contact later that same day and made arrangements to pick the trailer up at Noon. The next morning we were called and informed they didn't have a 4x8 and we would get a 5x8 for the same price. When we arrived at the Uhaul establishment just before Noon we were informed that they double booked our trailer and they didn't have one other than an open trailer. We were driving over 1000 miles and we needed a closed trailer. We waited over 30 minutes while they waited on other customers and were looking for a trailer for us. After about 40 minutes they said they did now have a 4x8 trailer. ???? So, in the end we received what we originally reserved. I don't understand why they would double book a trailer we had reserved with a credit card. On the phone I was told there was a trailer reserved for us and it would be there whenever we arrived to pick it up.

The truck broke down twice during the trip due to a bad battery. I had to wait for a wrecker service to come jump the truck. I couldn't turn the engine off at gas stations because it would not start again. Very stressful experience.

I preregistered and entered my credit card number in an effort to save time. When I got to location it still took over 30 minutes to get out, in part because none of my registration info could be pulled up. Why go through all of this beforehand if I have to go through same thing we I get there. Additional as they were getting me a trailer, the price was doubled the quote I got online, it took over 10 minutes to clear this up in itself.The folks there were nice but you can tell they are short handed. It always take a king time to rent from Uhaul. This was even worse. Tine to try another company

Overall, the rental suited our need and was an easy transaction. One bit of feedback on the 10 ft truck is that the fender wells projecting inside the truck made it difficult to make best use of floor space as it was limited. If I were to rent again for the same purpose of moving furniture, I would likely spend the little extra to get the next size truck so to be more efficient with our move. I realize that you can't remove the fender wells but maybe you could alert the renter that these exist or offer a platform that could be inserted to provide a flat surface with the understanding that head room would be affected.

I made my reservation over the phone and I elected not to take the insurance coverage. Once I got to the store to pick up my rental I was told that the insurance coverage was not optional and I was charged $10.00 for insurance coverage that I did not need. I argued the point and was told the only way I could not take the insurance coverage would be to put down a $1000.00 deposit. If I would have had time I would have canceled this reservation and gone somewhere else. My auto insurance and my credit card both cover me in rental vehicles. This one incident will ensure that I will not rent from U-Haul again and if anyone asks me I will definitely tell them how I was treated. I can tell you that this is bad business. Respectfully, D K

Was forced to take the CDW in order to pick up the truck. I had my own insurance and also my credit card would cover the deductible. I went ahead because I needed the pickup but I don't believe this practice is even legal.

I rented a 10 foot truck which was in poor condition. It was missing the armrest on the driver side, so there was nothing to pull the door closed. The fuel level and mileage on my pickup form were both incorrect, so I had to trust the store employee to change them AFTER I had to sign the incorrect forms inside the store before the truck was available for verification. This is not a good way to do business. The two employees that I dealt with were both pleasant.

Train workers and management to make sure that what you are told over the telephone is what they enforce at the locations. this is does not follow the same rules as the customer service reps on the telephone. This location due to "Manager enforced rules" cost me service charges at the back. According to the customer service rep., they are not supposed to run credit/debit cards the way they are. Highly questionable practices.

The trailer was all over the road. It wasnt over loaded or loaded wrong. I have a CDL and drive an 18 wheeler for a living. So, I pretty much know how to drive.. Also, I returned the trailer on Tuesday morning. I think was 3/4/2014.. Today (3/7/14) I start getting calls from uhaul. Wanting to know if there was a reason why I havnt returned it yet.. After several calls to the store that it was returned to. I take it they figured out I wasn't lying about it, and sent me an email that it was returned yesterday.. May need to work on the check in department..

This took 2 hours to even get a trailer, no one would even try to get me out of the store ? We waited and waited to see if everything would work . Took the trailer to where car was , the strap on passage side was shorter then the driver side . I demand a full refund of my money .
