I ordered a 17 ft. Truck, although they confirmed they had the size when I got there they said " oh 14 ft. Is the same thing and same price" what?!! Very displeased with this location.
this location was so unorganized. I didn't get a contract indicating how much gas I started with. There was no communication if I had to fill the tank prior to return. The customer service was horrible. The older gentlemen made me pick up my own furniture covers from another vehicle. Therr was no inspection recorded before given the vehicle. When returning the vehicle I was told to fill up the tank when later to find out I only had to fill it up to the Three quarter full position. Manny apparently was his name specifically said I hate the uhual business and was very rude to his customers. Due to his customer service I don't see myself recommending this service or ever using it again.
when originally booking, u-haul messed up on the time and location which cost me an hour on my moving time from the condo, i could have only moved for certain hours. when asked to reduce the fare due to only using 34km, i was not compensated
It was hard to find until we realized it was across the street from the place they said to drop it off in a parking lot. We weren't sure if we were to leave it there or where else we would ....
The truck I picked up had not been cleaned up. There was garbage left over in both the back and the cab, including a broken broom which is possibly why the previous customer hadn't cleaned it out. The lever to open the back door was seized and I had to return to the pick up location to have it lubricated. The pick up location was actually the UPS Store next door, which made for a distracted pick up as there was a fair bit of activity going on in the store in addition to the U-Haul business.
The truck wasn't prepapred. There was a layer of ice on the windshield. Stuff from previous customers were left lying around.
Online reservation and pre check-in were not recognized at the location. Apparently the computer does not communicate to the facility. Then when my reservation was found, I was told it was a different time than what was stated on my online reservation.
It seems that the location is shared between a UPS store and a mechanic. It seemed strange but they were efficient and the vehicle was ready for me.
Poor truck availability. By friday, the vehicled I agreed on (14') was available only somewhere in Concord. Why is there no way to reserve it at a nearer location ahead of time? Having no way to get to Concord from downtown, I had to go for a 10' truck at a nearer location and this resulted in two loads. Took me all day, driving twice back and forth instead of just once. This may result in me choosing not to go for Uhaul next time.
Honestly After my experience yesterday with uhaul I will never use uhaul again or recommend it to anyone! I was suppose to have a van available at 6pm at the dundas west location in Toronto... When I arrived there the person working said there was nobody working that could help me and I would not be able to rent the van! I was given a 800 number to call to try and sort out the issue! After calling this number the representative did my contract over the phone and advised me I could go back to the location I was at and pick up the van! I did this and when I got to the van there were no lisense plates on it!!! Nobody seemed to know where they were and it was the only vehicle available! After about an hour the same representative found me another location that I could go to to pick up the vehicle which was further away! I then went there and signed another contract and had to give all my credit card details again! Finally two hours after the original pick up time of 6pm I was given the keys to a van... I was told there was only one and sent over to get it... That van had been left unlocked however the key I was given was not the correct key for this vehicle and it was actually for another van parked further away!
Finally hours later I was able to move the one mattress I had to move which should have only taken about 30 minutes to do! My entire night had been wasted and I was told I would get $50 for the delay which I still have yet to see in my account/creditcard!!
The customer service rep did do her best to solve the problem however for such a larg company I never thought I would have such a hassle to rent one van for a couple hours!
Location is in a auto service garage which did not have the typical waiting area I am use to in a car/truck rental. I am use to having to do a vehicle check for any existing damage and show where all the controls are. Felt uncomfortable renting from here but in the end every thing went well and we got moved.

They were very helpful with hooking up the lights to the trailer, my connections were a bit rusty and the mechanic cleaned them up and made sure they worked.
