Thanujen JI was totally scammed by this location, claiming I didn’t fill up the gas tank, drove it an extra 20 miles AND that I had the U-Haul an extra day which is absurd because I literally only had the U-Haul for 5 hours and charged me for an extra day. Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had

Thanujen JThe equipment I needed and booked was not available. The truck I asked , first he said was not available , then it was . The person opened a new invoice with another truck , I needed to extend my rental and I had go all the way in the office and waste my time there for something I supposed to do online. Was the first time I used the service and I hated. Only two people working and the place had a long line of customers. Also the guy is very rude and does not have personal hygiene, it’s hard to be close to him because he smell strong. I was charged twice and I could not my real invoice ever. Not intending to use U-Haul or recommend. At least , not on that location. Only the truck was fine. The service was terrible.

Kyle BI’ve never been treated so poorly. I moved all the way from Ottawa , after I was done with my drop off instructions this was around 12am. I was waiting for my uber while seating in the uhaul before I drop off the keys. He came to me and started screaming at me to come down and give him the keys instead of dropping it in the key drop off spot. I didn’t agree then he proceeds to find my reservation and call me by my full name. That was very unsafe and scary. I would never use uhaul again.

Vanessa EFirst time renting a uhaul and was unfortunately a terrible experience. Rude customer agent and overwhelmed with customers (1 person handing 10 requests). Got my truck 40 minutes after my time slot. Didn't have a dolly that I ordered which was essential to my rental. Truck was in terrible condition (dirty, mirror cracked) and only had 1/8 gas. I had to fill it up to 2/3 because I didn't know how much I had to use. Cannot cannot at all.

Ayad DYou need your entire system to not break when it's busy. Insanely bad look for the company and puts super unnecessary stress on the workers. Get that fix ASAP. This is a corporate problem and has nothing to do with the actual location, they were wonderful and doing their best to work through everything.

Amy DAbsolutely horrible experience. The worst I’ve ever had with uhaul. The customer service was horrible. The store was completely sketchy and the owner made me stand out on the rain for ten minutes while he “dealt with another customer” even though there was no one else there. The door was bolted shut with a doorbell on it but they never let me in which I needed to buy more moving supplies and couldn’t. When he brought the truck around he was running over multiple pylons as if he was possibly intoxicated. There was moving blankets on the back of the truck and they were soaking wet and disgusting and completely unusable. Then when I returned the truck I put gas in the truck right before I brought it back and the owner charged me a refuel charge even though I put gas in it the tank was not full when I picked up the truck and I put enough gas to match what was in it. I would never use this location again and I doubt I would use uhaul again after this experience.

Jeremy ECalled ahead for after hours drop off instructions, person said it was “easy” just park on the road and leave keys in drop box. No street parking available as there was already trucks parked all along the road so there was no more space and all the parked trucks were getting parking tickets. Would not recommend.

Samuel, who I believe is the owner, truly stands out; he is professional, attentive, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. His customer service makes a big difference and creates a very positive experience. The equipment was in great condition. I would definitely recommend this location, largely because of the high level of service Samuel provides.

Makita SYour web/app sign up is painful and clearly just trying to trick customers into buying extras. Your pick up location did not open til 40 minutes after the scheduled 9am opening. Your staff added insurance that I did not want after the fact and charged me extra.

The staff were helpful and professional, which made the whole moving process much easier. The pricing was fair with no surprises. Ryan KCan’t say enough good things about this U-Haul location at Basso Lounge on Queen St. Moving is always chaotic, and despite my best intentions, I somehow still underestimate the curveballs and time it takes to get your life from point A to point B. This move was no exception, but Samuel at Basso Lounge was incredibly accommodating when I needed to extend my rental not once, but twice. He made what could have been a stressful situation really easy to deal with. Great customer service, friendly staff, and a smooth experience overall. I will absolutely be a repeat customer for as long as I am living downtown Toronto.
Kendra JUnfortunately, I reserved a truck drop-off in Etobicoke over 15 days in advance, but at pickup I was told I had to return it to the same location. This caused extra mileage and additional travel costs, which I find unfair since I planned to drop it off near my home.
FABIO TSamuel was an absolute legend. I don't think I've ever had such an easy, straightforward, and pleasant customer service experience. This was definitely my best Uhaul expedition to date and I can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be coming here going forward.

CONOR MTruck was filthy, no one actually worked at the location. There was only one man there, that finally showed up, who knew no information at all. Did he actually work there? Who knows. The whole drive the "check fuel cap" light was on even though we checked it multiple times and it was okay. Put $150 of gas in the truck, and the gage didn't move. When we dropped off the truck, there was no one at the location except an old, white dog (he was doing his best, only he gets a 10/10) $600 well spent I guess.

SAMUEL IWe returned after hours and there was no clear instruction on how to drop off the vehicle. Plus it was challenging to find a spot to leave the vehicle since Queen Street is super busy plus the lot where the other vehicles were dropped off was completely full. When I called the location they simply said just drop it off on the street and drop off the key. Plus there were all the steps before that that they didnt mention about using the App and taking photos of all sides of the vehicle including one that had to be taken in the middle of Queen Street to get the full vehicle in the shot. All this on a freezing evening. Not very convenient at all.

vlad cHad a reservation for 8am, the equipment wasn't ready. I call customer service and they told me I was entitled for a $50 reservation guarantee, at the end I wasn't entitled to no compensation. Had to wait until 9am to get the store open but it wasn't ob service until 9:20am. There's a lack of respect, it delayed me in everything, Had my crew waiting to work, they played with everybody time my workers, my customer and me.
