BILLINGS, Mont. – (Mar. 12, 2012) Executive Vice President (EVP) Ron Frank and Area District Vice President (ADVP) Doug McIntier jointly announced today that Terry Schaub has been promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of the new UHC of Montana.

Terry is currently field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Inland Northwest. He began his career at U-Haul in 1989 and has held the positions of welder, hitch mechanic, assistant manager, general manager (GM), senior manager and area field manager (AFM). Today, Terry will oversee all operations of the new U-Haul Company of Montana, including truck, trailer and storage rentals.

“Leadership is a quality that first must be demonstrated, and then can be expanded upon in larger assignments within the U-Haul System,” affirmed ADVP McIntier. “Over the years, Terry has proven himself to be a quality leader who constantly leads by example. He is a great asset to this Company, and will help ensure that this new office will comply and adhere to Company policies and procedures.”

During the more than 20 years Schaub has worked for U-Haul, he notes that he’s had the privilege of working with and learning from many of the U-Haul organization’s great leaders. In assuming his role as president, Schaub is most excited to put into action all the great things he has learned over the years, and is looking forward to working with his new team members from both U-Haul Company of Inland Northwest and U-Haul Company of Idaho. Schaub notes that biggest advantage his new team has is the strength of its people.

The new  U-Haul Company of Montana will start out with a group of hard-hitting players who bring both longevity and experience to the table, and Schaub notes that the company also has a strong dealer network that has helped the U-Haul organization serve customers. He is looking forward to coaching and learning from this team, and watching the new company prosper.

Schaub suspects that the geographics of his new marketing company will challenge him; however he is up for it, and plans to achieve success by increasing his dealer network in order to serve customers in existing and new communities throughout his marketing territory. Schaub also plans to utilize of all the basic policies and procedures set to obtain the level of superior customer service necessary to grow the new U-Haul Company of Montana.

“Anyone who knows me knows I am a hardworking, straightforward person with one thing in mind,” Schaub explains. “Say yes with a smile, and always treat customers as you wish to be treated…and you will succeed. Years ago, Dean Ross, former U-Haul ADVP, taught me the benefit of surrounding myself with good people. I feel that I am already surrounded by some great individuals, and together we will build a great company.”
