“Over the years, David has proven himself to be a great asset to this company,” affirmed Area District Vice President (ADVP) Doug McIntier. “I'm very proud of what David has accomplished and look forward to working with him in the future.”
While in charge of U-Haul operations for Portland, Scheafer plans to work closely with his team members, all of whom share a strong desire to serve customers, to share knowledge and grow upon the strengths of one another. Shaefer is challenging himself to absorb as much information as he can to become a better leader of his team. He also looks forward to continually fulfilling a top U-Haul priority of providing clean, well-maintained equipment at a price customers can afford. In assuming his role as president, Schaefer is most excited about the renewed interaction with his team members and explains that he enjoys helping others be successful. “UHC of Portland has a great group of team members,” Schaefer explained. “I hope to take my team to a whole new level, while having fun doing it.”
