Chad Rome Appointed MCP of UHC of Southern Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. (Sept. 27, 2016) — Chad Rome has been named marketing company president of 778, U-Haul Company of Southern Alabama.

U-Haul Executive Vice President Frank D’Abarno and Area District Vice President Ed Hatcher made the announcement. Rome assumed his new role on Sept. 26.

“I am very honored to take the helm of MCO 778 where we will have lofty goals,” Rome said. “I am positive that our team can reach our goals through our passion in providing exceptional customer service, working our programs, and by developing our Team Members’ personal and professional growth.”

Rome spent the last four years as a field relief manager at 833, U-Haul Company of Gainesville. He was general manager of U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lake Square from 2008 to 2012. Rome actually began his affiliation with U-Haul in 2004 as a neighborhood dealer in 829, U-Haul Company of North Orlando.

“Chad Rome has four years of experience as a dealer, four years as a GM and has spent the last four years as the FRM in MCO 833,” Hatcher said. “His knowledge and implementation of programs, policies and procedures – coupled with his leadership, communication skills, drive and personality – are exactly what we are looking for to lead 778. I look forward to working with Chad for many years to come.”

Rome recently graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He utilized U-Haul Company’s Educational Assistance to attain this goal and expressed his appreciation for such a program.
