Ramirez and Abshire became acquainted when Abshire used to purchase cars from Ramirez’s car lot. The duo decided to combine forces to offer their customers a better experience.
Experience is what makes R&J Automotive so successful. Ramirez has dabbled in sales and auto repairs for many years. Abshire worked in heavy equipment repair for 12 years. Operating their own used car lot with a repair shop has suited the partners well.
Charlotte Abshire, who manages the store’s U-Haul reservations, is pleased with the work being done in Churchville.
“There’s nothing my husband can’t fix,” Charlotte said.
“I grew up liking to pull things apart to see how they worked,” John added.
In addition to offering U-Haul truck and trailer rentals, R&J Automotive has truck sales, towing equipment, support rental items, in-store pick-up for boxes and after-hours drop-off.
