Plans Revealed for First U-Haul-Owned Facility in Wentzville

WENTZVILLE, Mo. (July 7, 2023) — U-Haul® is revealing plans for a new retail, moving and self-storage center in Wentzville after purchasing 7.88 acres at Highway 70 and David Hoekel Parkway.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Wentzville is scheduled for completion by summer 2025. This will be the first U-Haul-owned and -operated facility in Wentzville.

A three-story, 100,000-square-foot building will offer more than 750 indoor, climate-controlled self-storage rooms with high-end security features at affordable price points. Customers will also have access to truck and trailer rentals, boxes and moving supplies, towing equipment, professional hitch installation, propane and much more.

“Wentzville is a growing suburb of St. Louis, and this property is located directly off Highway 70, which is the main artery into the city,” stated Mike White, U-Haul Company of Missouri Northeast president. “Accessibility is key, and this store will provide a convenient location for our needed services.”

White intends to hire at least 10 Team Members to staff the new store. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth within the Wentzville community. U-Haul, honored as a Best for Vets leading veteran-friendly employer by The Military Times, actively recruits veterans and gives them preference in the hiring process. “U-Haul is a strong member of the communities where we operate, and we are eager to create jobs and grow the workforce here,” White noted. “We’re investing in Wentzville’s future and invite other businesses to follow our lead.”

U-Haul dealers in and around Wentzville continue to be available to serve DIY movers. U-Haul has partnered with independent dealers to provide communities with accessible mobility since 1945. During these challenging times, more than 21,000 small businesses across the U.S. and Canada are generating supplemental income by partnering with U-Haul. When customers rent from their local U-Haul dealers, they are directly supporting small businesses in their community. Because there is no financial investment from dealers, they are not U-Haul franchises. They are simply small businesses with enough lot space to park U-Haul equipment and enough time to welcome more customers while meeting the mobility needs of their neighbors.
