Super Mart Poised for Summer Moving Season with U-Haul Products
ERWIN, N.C. (April 27, 2015) – In an effort to stay warm, Tejpal Mangat recently moved from Buffalo to Erwin. The temperature change seemed too good to be true.

Located in an area locals refer to as the “top of the hill,” Super Mart’s hours of operation are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. After-hours drop-off is available for U-Haul customers.
Besides looking for a warmer place to spend his winters, Mangat is trying to help support his wife’s dreams. She is studying nursing at Duke University, so Mangat drives 45 minutes to the Super Mart so that his wife can be close to school.
“We wanted to come here and start something fresh,” Mangat said. “The weather is better, Duke has a great medical program for my wife, and I’m happy with the Super Mart.”
Super Mart has been through several owners, but the store has been in the same location since the 1960s. Mangat said the community knows his business and regulars are always stopping in for the delicious country-style food served at the attached restaurant.
“The biscuits and gravy just bring people in,” Mangat said. “People stop by on their way to work just for these things.”
As a visible gas station on the west side of town, Super Mart brings in traffic from Highway 217 – and the recognition of U-Haul trucks has only served to attract more customers.
