The Shop & Automotive is Second U-Haul Dealership for Mel Cook
DELTA, COLO. (April 8, 2015) – Mel Cook recently extended his partnership with industry leader U-Haul to carry moving equipment and products at a second automotive repair location: The Shop & Automotive LLC.
The Shop & Automotive at 695 Hwy. 50 in Delta offers trucks, towing equipment, rental support items, in-store pick-up for boxes and after-hours drop-off.
“It is a good asset to the business and it allows me to serve customers better,” shop owner Cook said.

Cook signed on with U-Haul in early 2014 after moving from Utah to Colorado and brought U-Haul products to The Shop Automotive & Tire LLC in Eckert, 10 miles northeast of Delta at 12912 Hwy. 65.

U-Haul Area Field Manager Rob Tracy said the Colorado communities have responded well to Cook’s two new U-Haul dealerships.
“The first location, (Cook) signed on to gain exposure and to diversify the primary business,” Tracy said. “He was able to expand with this second location because it was so successful.”
Both locations are family-owned and operated, and Cook has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive and tire repair industry.
