U-Haul Offering 30 Days of Free U-Box Portable Moving and Self-Storage to Quebec Residents Affected by the Train Explosion in Lac-Megantic
LAC-MEGANTIC, Quebec - (July 08, 2013) — The U-Haul Company of Eastern Quebec is offering 30 days of free U-Box portable moving and self-storage to residents of Lac-Megantic and surrounding areas who need to move their belongings away from the recent destruction. In addition to the 30-days-free self-storage assistance being offered, reduced rates for U-Haul truck and trailer rentals also will be available for residents who may need additional help evacuating the disaster area.
With U-Box portable moving and self-storage, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box container with you. U-Haul can also store the U-Box container in our secure warehouse or even pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice.
People who need boxes can take advantage of the U-Haul Take a Box, Leave a Box Program. The program enables customers to return their reusable boxes and allows others to take them as needed – FREE. U-Haul encourages anyone who has any type of reusable box to drop it off at the nearest U-Haul location and allow another family to reuse the box, free of charge, instead of throwing the reusable box into the recycling bin. U-Haul also urges customers to stop in to ensure that their propane tanks are topped off, since propane is a good thing to have on hand in the event of long-term power outages.
Residents needing more information about the 30-days-free 3 U-Box portable moving and storage program or available discounted rates for U-Haul trucks or trailer rentals in Lac-Megantic should contact one of the following.
