U-Haul Opening New Repair Shop, Bringing 10 Jobs to Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, Maine (Nov. 16, 2023) — U-Haul® will soon be operating a new repair shop at 1 Cressey Road in Brunswick.
Brunswick Repair will serve as a maintenance hub where regional U-Haul equipment is serviced. The shop will employ at least 10 Team Members tasked with assembling and maintaining engines, transmissions, rear axles and more.
“We moved to this existing warehouse space to increase our repair capacity,” explained Shawn Goldrup, U-Haul Company of Maine president. “We outgrew our Portland Repair Shop location. This property also serves as an existing U-Haul center, so it makes sense to move our repair shop here. We look forward to the growth and success we can accomplish here while serving the DIY moving customer in Maine.”
Brunswick Repair is scheduled to open on Dec. 4.
U-Haul acquired the Cressey Road property in 2016. Its acquisition was driven by U-Haul Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill developments to help local communities lower their carbon footprint.
