NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Sept. 4, 2015) – Andrew DeFaria opened DeFaria & Sons Auto Service five years ago with the assistance of his father, Francisco, as a personal business venture and a way to foster his auto racing hobby.
The younger DeFaria said the business quickly became a “combo deal” by aiding the community as well as his ability to partake in races across the east coast.
DeFaria & Sons Auto Service recently discovered a new way to help North Providence residents by providing moving solutions as a U-Haul® neighborhood dealer. DeFaria offers U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items, in-store pick-up for boxes and after-hours drop-off for customer convenience.

DeFaria has been involved with racing and has had an interest in cars for many years. His desire to open his own shop started when he worked for other businesses and realized he could do it on his own.
Francisco served as a financial advisor and has “helped with everything to get where I am now,” Andrew DeFario said.
The addition of U-Haul has given DeFaria’s racing friends the ideal place to rent auto dollies and trucks. Not only is DeFaria & Sons Auto Service able to meet the needs of racing enthusiasts, but the shop is fully equipped to tackle any automotive needs the community may have.
“It makes work very fun,” DeFaria said.
