So upset I rented a car trailer for a minimum of 24 hours, returned it after use of 6 hours called the store this morning (with in the 24 hours) when they opened to check it back in and they charged me a 20.00 after hour charge. I was not told of this fee and even asked while renting if I could bring back early !!!! No mention of return feeâ€¦Carol C.

I had a truck that seem to have mechanical issues clunked n banged when i turned. Then my reservation drop off time was for 6:30pm i got to the location at that time n they had closed at 6pm so got charged extra $20 bc after hours but i was following my reservation.shanee M.

Get the uhaul in Harrison to open. Was told they were closed on Saturday and Sunday so went to rent on a Monday morning and they would not rent to me even with 5 of the trailer size I wanted in their yard. I had to drive 30 miles out of my way to rent in another town. Very frustrating.GARY V.

When I finally arrived at the location in Clare all the way from Georgia I was greeted with very rude employees. They came out to my truck and dolly claiming that my truck got the dolly dirty just because he got dirt on his fingers taking the dolly off, which by the way was already disgusting when we first got it anyways. Then they suggested we go power wash it, although we had insurance on it. Insurance is supposed to cover that, and it's the employee's job to clean the dolly. Obviously they did not do that before or after we received what we paid good money for. They were extremely rude, and also claimed that we would be charged for going to Clare and dropping it off, but the people in Georgia said Clare would be fine. It makes me never want to rent from Uhaul again due to this nasty experience, and they should do better with how their employees treat customers. As well as how lazy they were because they didn't even want to deal with anything even though we paid extra for insurance. So I don't understand why you even need the insurance if it does nothing.WILLIAM HENRY G.

All the fuses were blown for the towing, spent 4 hours trouble shooting and fixing. They gave me 10 bucks for fuses but nothing for my time. I would have thought more like 50 dollars at least considering the time and running to the store for parts, not to mention ruining my plans for the day.Lee M.
My original reservation was in Mt. Pleasant, MI and the customer service there was horrible. I had an emergency situation and Pam was not very cordial or friendly. I truly felt as if I was being racially profiled. I was sent to Clare, MI to pick the UHaul. Because I had to drive to Clare which was about 30 minutes from Mt. Pleasant I was told that I would be given 50 extra miles for the inconvenience. I had no choice but to go to Clare because I was stranded in Mt. Pleasant. Upon returning the vehicle I was charged extra miles and I had to go back and forth with the area manager Jake as if I made it up. I have to give a special shout out and thanks to Annie at Ace Hardware in Clare for her kindness and her bubbly personality. She was not only very helpful and friendly but she made me laugh when really felt like crying. Thank God for people like Annie.linda E.

Door was jammed. Required prying with post to force open. Trailer had a quarter sized hole in roof with small piece of tape over it and leaked in other areas. Unfortunately, there were no other replacement trailers.Thomas H.

Our first pick up location was at Hamilton's in Farwell. No one was at that location. We waited 35 mins for someone to show up. Finally Uhaul reached our pick up in Clare which was fine. Most efficient service of day was easy return to Grand Rapids Alpine location. Waiting for a credit on our credit card for inconvenience of waiting at first location for 35 minutes!!Gene S.

This location was unacceptable. The customer service by the gentleman who served us was terrible. He was rude and not at all helpful. The female tried to accommodate us best she knew how but over all it was not a good experience and I would not rent from that location again. The truck we received was dirty in the cab as well as in the back and the truck was pretty beat up looking. Have used U-Haul several times from local to across the U.S and never had a bad experience until this time. I would not recommend the Clare MI location to anyone .Randy S.

Check trucks more throughly. Was not as new as expected, ie, manual locks and windows. Window seals were not good. Had an tire air pressure issue halfway to our destination. Doors had to be slammed because the latches wouldn't catch.Mary K.

I rented a truck to take some items to Illinois and I knew it was a ten hour drive. I needed a truck for three days, one day to load, one day to drive to the location and one day to unload. The man that rented the truck to me suggested that I rent the truck for four days just in case there was a problem. I told him I felt it would only take three days. He said there could be a need for the fourth day and if I did not use it, then the place where I dropped off the truck would take the charge for the extra day off the total amount. He also suggested that I take out the insurance, and I said no.raymond H.
