FRAUD & CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ALERT 3028 Bessemer RD Birmingham Alabama 35208 205-785-1524 URGENT- ACTION PENDING AGAINST UHAUL CORP. A Manager and Supervisorn located at 3028 Bessemer Rd Birmingham Alabama 35208 ( 205-785-1524) allowed a rental truck to be rented in my name for my ex-husband on this past Friday. I live all the way in Texas and somehow she allowed this without my identification, signature, or permission. She committed FRAUD and she also stated that her BOSS knew about and allowed a truck to be rented without my knowledge, signature, identification, or permission. WE ARE DIVORCED. UHAUL have violated my rights. I am calling for the immediate TERMINATION of all involved including the supervisor who knew and allowed it. A complete investigation is needed and media contact to further investigate criminal fradulent actions at that UHAUL LOCATION. The rep stated to me when I called about it after receiving SEVERAL emails about a rental in Birmingham on Bessemer Rd while I was at work in Texas. Your UHAUL employee he gave (rented him the truck under my CELL PHONE NUMBER!!!! AND NAME!!!!WHAT??? Are you kidding me???? Did the checkout , then pointed at office twice and i finally got out of him thats where you got receipt. You could tell customers were the worst part of their day

Marquitta H.1. Allow your customers who have been there longer than 6 months to use your private dumpster. It's selfish not to allow it. 2. Help customers toss mattresses, especially if they have been there longer than 6 months. Set up a system to help hall away items for customers who have paid for long stays. 3. If a customer has patronized your business for a considerable amount of time be willing to bend a few rules. Make it fair and willing to help assist the customer. Be willing to bend stiff rules. Then your customers will always return to a family like business.

Michael H.I arrived at the store today to get a truck. I called to extend the time but couldn't reach anyone. I also tried sending a message and no response. I ordered moving help to arrive at 7am and they never showed up. I'm pregnant and recovering from a car accident. I continued to call the company and could not speak to a person I had to text. I had to call corporate, moving help and staff multiple times. But they demanded their truck back and threatened to call the police. I told them I'm helpless and need help but I can't unload the truck myself on time. I was given a truck with marijuana in it and the truck was on empty and I had to fill it up. Now I'm charged a fine and charged for the moving men who never showed

Deyiia H.Bad customer service-employees were not positive, said something about not wanting to be there and were in general very grumpy. When I realized I was going to be late picking up van, I called and was told my van would still be available. I got there at the set time and no van or any other options. Trailer was only option. Had to go buy a hitch. Returned to get trailer and first trailer was rusty and couldn't be used. Four hours later we pulled out with a trailer. HORRIBLE experience and will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!

They were all very empathetic and professional and were outstanding examples of the type of employees that should make Uhaul proud. Thanks to all of the staff on duty at this location on 7-23-22.

Jerald B.Everything was great!! My only personal problem/complaint were that my legs are too short & I couldn't figure out how to adjust the seat.. may have already been up as close as it comes.. Great customer svcs throughout the whole process.. ! Rented a nice clean good running cargo van with air conditioning!! Hallelujah!! Overall I was greatly pleased and impressed with the staff (pleasant attitudes) & will be using U-haul again soon!!

The lady who's an manager she's rude and and lacks customer service skills. The store definitely needs a face lift and re evaluated, overall not an good experience and I do not recommend.

IF I DID NOT DO QUICK THINKING AND GOT AN AVAILABLE HITCH, I WOULD STILL BE WAITING, WHEN I GOT THEIR SUNDAY MORNING, THERE SAT THE TRUCK I NEEDED. SO, ITS VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I HAVE ONLY USED YOU FOR YEARS. NOW I SEE THERE ARE OTHER RENTAL, I WILL FAMILIARIZE MYSELF WITH THEM.
Silas G.Uhaul corporate needs to do a better job in communication. My pick up location changed and they sent me 31 miles to Tallasee for my drop off when I asked for Alex City. I always feel like I am at Uhaul's mercy. Fortunately, there were 2 happy and efficient workers that made the experience very pleasant at both locations. That is the 1st time I have experienced happy workers and they should be recognized! They exceeded my expectations, not necessarily Uhaul.

Bernard H.Cashier was very rude. When I went in there were several people in line. Since the online service said skip the line, I hesitantly did. I did excused myself to let her know that I needed to pick up a key per the message on my screen. She said one moment and pointed to the lady that was in line. Which was understandable. I stood there another 5 minutes. When she gave the lady a form to fill in, I figured at that time she would step away to hand me the key, which I could visibly see by the way. But she didn't. She stood there with an attitude. I excused myself again to let her know that I just need to pick up my key through the online service, she then said with an attitude that she is the only one working. I feel like she purposely took her time giving me the key. I already felt wrong for skipping the line, but that's what the online message said do. There should be a better way to retrieve the key if the associate can not multitask. I have always used this location because its convenient, but the process is always slow. There is always just one person working. Because of me knowing this, I tried the online service. She made my experience horrible. I will never visit this location again.

I reserved ahead of time and did my due diligence, but because another customer wanted to extend their reservation, I was just out of luck. UHaul also did nothing to value my business as a customer or help with this situation, like bringing the vans to my original pickup location that I had chosen for a reason, and no one I spoke with on the phone was helpful. I understand that UHaul wants to be accommodating to the other customer(s) who wanted to rent the vans for longer, but when there are pre-existing reservations that would interfere with this, I think this is incredibly poor customer service to do to the next customer. Everyone was just uninterested in helping or caring about my situation or needs as a customer, and I felt stuck because there's nothing I could do about it other than decide to cancel my reservations, which I couldn't do because I was depending on the rentals for executing a wedding for my business. Instead of going 3 minutes down the road, I had to go across town for my reservations, 2 round trips since I needed 2 vans, and again for drop-off since of course I couldn't even drop the vans off at my original chosen location. This is not near the first time I've had a major issue with UHaul's service, and I rent vans about 20 times a year for my business, but I've decided to take my business and money elsewhere and won't be using UHaul ever again if I can avoid it- they don't care about their customers and don't do the right thing.

He lives in Florida and needed someplace to store househhold items. I am extremely disappointed that I could not get a refund of the unused portion of my rental payment. The ending date for my initial rental was 24 September. Prior to that date, I made a payment. My nephew and I cleared the unit out on 27 September, just 3 days later. Mattie H. | Overall ExperienceThe storage facility itself was excellent. I used the unit for several years and found no problems with my stored items. The problems that I had was with the parking. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, I parked my vehicle in a parking space painted for parking. When I parked, I felt a pull on my right bumper. When I looked, a nail protruding from the cement barrier had ripped off the right side of my bumper. I informed the manager, Shinita Cunningham. She said that the parking spots were for hitches, but there were no signs saying the parking spots were for the hitches. I now have a damaged bumper and I am not pleased about it because it could have been avoided. There are no customer parking spaces for storage customers. That problem needs to be addressed. On Sunday, September 13, 2020, the normal staff was off. The gentleman filling in could not open the storage area because he did not have the keys or codes. Me and my family waited for 1 1/2 hrs but were still unable to get into the storage area. I thought it was ridiculous that he did not have the correct information necessary to continue normal operations. It was very frustrating and I had to reschedule meeting dates with my family to complete emptying the storage unit. Communication is of the utmost importance to keep a business functional and your customers stress and worry free.

I just have spoke with 12 individuals from 800 Uhaul online, Ethics department, store managers, clerks, and maybe 2 individuals were pleasant and willing to assist my family and I. Hey ur storage reservation was secured wrong by representative, the services that were supposed to be available were not available putting the safety of my family at risk. The size of the storage that I reserved and was forced to down grade to a unit that almost didn’t fit the capacity of my goods. We were threatened by the staff. Worst experience ever.
