Equipment btoke down, they towed the truck to my new home hours later but all the assitant i had helping to load and unload had left and i still had two more trips to make, to make a long stoty short i had to rent another truck and no discount was given.

I have used this location several times and have been pleased in the past however this past weekend i was very disappointed with the service. The cashier did not have proper change in the store to take care of her customers. I had to help her break down larger bills for customers. I reserved my truck online and appliance dolly. When i arrived at my home to move there was no appliance dolly. After returning to the store to get the dolly i was informed they did not have any in the store. The customer services representative was very nice and said i could use the utility dolly for free however it made my move very difficult with out the equipment that i reserved. When i returned the truck i was charged for extra miles on the truck. I explained that it was not my fault that they did not provide me with the dolly and the extra miles were a result of them not having what I needed. I was still forced to pay for the extra miles.

The truck smoked the whole time I had it. The Power Steering made a horrible noise when turning and the exterior of the truck was pretty beat up. Over all the mobile app was easy to use, just too many steps.

Ammie was rude beyond measures had no Customer Service like I was invisible I was on phone with a Uhaul rep they are trying to get in touch with her she won't answer phone Iam at the door pointing at the phone she throws her hand up like we are closed waves me off its way after 6:00 my pick up she cones out to clean return trucks still not paying me any attention I call her 3 time each time I have to get louder all while my call is on speaker phone with the Uhaul rep listening once Ammie realize that she is being heard by the rep she becomes very pissed saying good lord oh my goofing and storm off the Rep is too shocked as to what she is hearing she told me she was sending 2 email about Ammies rudeness go a listen to your recorded call you can hear for yourself she was even rude enough to continue to sweep as I was trying to talk the broom actually touch me I let the rep know and the rep just went off that when Ammie want to treat me like a paying Customer Bottom line Maybe a Uhaul rep should give everyone whom set up a Uhaul account for self pick up a follow up call to make sure everything is ok did not learn I needed to download a Uhaul app until I was rudely treated I was using a email that said click here with my account number rep stated that my purchase just might be on them (Uhaul) because my entire call form beginning to end was recorded I will never use Fairgrounds location again told a lot of my associates about My ordeal word of moth is everything for the record Iam African American / Ammie is white??????? Read between the lines

Only one person at the counter, one person for storage and computer tech on the beginning of the month makes no sense. When I contacted the general manager she stated it was the labor hours she was given. Poor service equals less revenue. The damn light bulb was out in the restroom and you had to use the light in your phone just to use it. Awful experience all around. Vestavia Hills is hands downs better, Jesus this loacation needs help.

My pickup location was changed 3 times in the last week. Then, the location I selected for drop off was not the destination I was given. When I called my desired location there was no manager to ensure I would not be charged, so I had to deal with the location I didn't select. I'm disappointed with the location issues at both pickup and drop off.

I was told over the phone thay the rental was for 24 hours and that I can pick up the truck at their location. Then received a call from the company saying I needed to pick up truck from another location 15 miles from the original location. when I got their, they lady was asking me about how long would I have vehicle, I told her maybe 5 hours or more, but wasn't sure, but I was assuming this was a 24 hr. rental so I delivered truck the next day because that 5 hours was 7pm (closing time). tried calling before 7pm, but was placed me on hold for a long time, by that time it was 7pm. I delivered truck the next day within the 24 hr, time frame. The company charged me for 2 days and I only had truck 1 day. I filed a complaint. There was miscommunicatiion when I was shifted from one location to another location.

Needs to make the location of the key drop off box more accessible... the app told me that it was on the door and I was looking for the orange box, but the drop off slot was on the garage door and the area didn't have enough light around that area

When I placed order online it was for a 24 hr. When I arrived everything was very good until I questioned the 8 hr interval that they told me I would be charged 29.99 every 8 hrs and then was told that I would be charged a late fee because If I was bringing it back in at 6pm that would be over the 8 hrs... I asked for and estimate the clerk told me it would be around $89 plus 0.99 per mile... I question that and was told this is this stores policy and if I wanted to rent this truck this is what I would have to pay...The young lady was very rude and distant toward me from this point.....Was very ugly toward me at return as well because the young man that checked me out was explaining why they do this but I told him I understand but this does not complain with Uhaul at this point the young lady was very nasty and disrespectful, I tell her I am a woman of God and then she replies to me "and " this is when I tell her you are very ugly in her attitude and she continues to disrespect me in front of my children and the young man there continues to tell her not to act I the ugly manner in which she was acting it was just ugly, rude ad disrespectful not just to me, but as a representative for uHaul. I have been a loyal customer with uHaul since 1978.
