The lady that worked Saturday Morning was extremely helpfully. I had so many questions and concerns, she took time to answer every questions and to help me, even though she was the only person work and had customers. The Bessemer location was perfectly fine. However, the location in Fairfield was unsatisfactory. My maintenance guys were told they could pick up a truck at 11:30AM and by 2:00PM, they were unable to get a truck. Whoever was at that location is entirely unprofessional.

I was told I would have a 6x12 trailer in TUSCALOOSA, AL on the day I needed it. As I'm driving to the location (a couple miles from my house) I receive a call saying I'll have to go to Bessemer, AL (45 miles away) to pick up my trailer. This was a huge interruption in my moving process and set me back a day on moving and added a lot of stress to my move.

I picked this location because of your employees picture. Shanita for her smile and when i picked up my trailor Shanita was there she was very helpful and pleasant. She is truly a star employee and made my experience enjoyable.

I was told 20 minutes before I arrived that someone would be there that could help me hook up the trailer. I explained I did not know how because I had never towed anything. When I get there, no one is there that can help. Another customer ended up helping me.

Picking up my uhaul from this location was a genuine dumpster fire and arguably the least organized coordination of efforts I've witnessed in my adult life. I'm listing below everything that went wrong in order of its occurrence which kept me at the uhaul pickup for 1 hour and 50 minutes: 1) Before arriving, uhaul “upgraded” me from a 20' truck to a 26' truck that I did not request and did not really fit in my driveway. 2) Upon arrival to the uhaul pickup location at my designated pickup time (8:30) I was expecting to simply step through the “24/7 mobile app pickup” instructions and be on my way. Unfortunately the mobile app told me the pickup was changed to hand delivery and I'd have to wait until 9:00 to begin pickup when the store opened. 3) I began check-in process at 9:00 on my phone. The identity verification process was supposed to take about 2 minutes according to the online video. After 10 minutes I called the support line and got approved to proceed. 4) When I got to the keycode section to get my keys, it was blank. I went into the store and asked for help. The guy there hadn't put the keys in the lock box and had to go find them. 5) the odometer on the app said the truck was supposed to be at 23,176.1 miles, yet the odometer read 25,925.2 miles. I couldn't proceed with check-in since that was off. The guy in the store couldn't figure out how to resolve the issue and FaceTimed his manager who was in bed. She didn't know either so he kindly let me leave without finishing the online check-in process after spending nearly 2 hours there. 6) The dolly I had ordered for $12 was not in the back of the truck when I got to my apartment so I had to call the support number and tell them so I wouldn't get charged a fine. I never received a refund of $12 either. Overall my experience with uhaul could be summarized as a consistent thread of unfulfilled promises and disappointments that will keep me from using or recommending this company to others for the foreseeable future.
