The wait to get the truck took a very long time and I had reserved a truck prior to coming in and was a half an hour early. I was not made aware that the mileage rates had gone up and was slapped with a bill that was extremely high. There are other companies that offer moving services and I will be checking in to those for my final move.jennifer G.

The vehicles are not being checked over or cleaned after a drop off or before pick ups. The trucks steering wheel was so sticky. It looked like someone shook a soda and opened it inside the truck and no one cleaned it. The truck outside was just as dirty. The actual employees that I dealt with were actually really nice and courteous and professional, because of that I would recommend this location. Most uhauls are terrible with bad service. Even when the facility is nice and clean the service is awful. THIS uhaul, is always VERY clean and the staff always helpful. Everytime I call or go to the location the people there are pleasant, helpful and go the extra mile. There is always enough staff. I love their rapport together (at least what I can tell from their chit chat). Their talking to each other has never taken away from how attentive they are. While some may be a bit put off by the neighborhood, it isn’t fancy, I would happily recommend this location everytime. You hired good people here. Storage areas are notorious for bad service. The people that work there especially the owner/operator could have an idea of how to explain the charges for you besides just plugging them in and showing you the smart phone saying this is what the computer search for this is what the app said. Communication is very poor the equipment and the use was great but the return was dramatically uncalled for! I literally got an argument with the GM one oh she had to do was just give me a simple explanation because as a person who does not use U-Haul every day or every month or every year for this case sometimes we just need a little explanation I'm human don't shove a phone in my face and then get an attitude and I don't understand, I thought upside to being able to deal with life people is that they could give you help instead of just dealing with a computer or an app if that was the case I could've did it from the comfort of my own home instead of walking into a storequinzelle C.

There was a nail inside of the tire upon entering the vehicle that also had no ac in 100 degree weather. There was no one to inform until we get in the car and let the agent know. There were no other vehicles so it was either chance it with the insurance or not be able to move equipment. If there is no air it shouldn't even be allowed to rent especially in 100 degree weather. Wow, this place is terribly run. Roadside assistance called them the day before to see if they could repair a dangerously loose mirror on a truck I had picked up in South Philly- I was picking up a trailer so it made sense to just have them fix it the next day if they could. UHAUL Roadside assistance called, made me an appointment for 9AM and when I got there I sat in line for an hour just for them to tell me the guy who fixes things wasn't in that day so I was out of luck. Originally I was suppose to drop off the truck at 5737 Elmwood Avenue but when I arrived they refused the truck and sent me to 5744 Woodland Avenue. Employees at 5744 were excellent but informed me that I needed to call UHAUL to change the drop off place in the system. I had a train I needed to catch so because the wait time on the phone was over 30 minutes I had to leave and leave the truck without paperwork. When I arrived in NYC I tried calling but was unable to reach someone I had to wait until 7am the next morning to get this change made. This process makes no sense and the fact that the other location can refuse a truck makes no sense. You need to do better. I paid my money I should be treated better by both the NYC and 5737 locations. Thanks to the crew at 5744 Woodland Avenue for treating me like a paying customer. In my rental, there was a â€œtire monitoring systemâ€ light on when I first got in. Both sun visors are broken and the wheel locks constantly. I was very unhappy with the service I received today. I did everything online from the truck, storage unit and movers and still had problems when I arrived at the location. First, I was told there was no truck available for me. Second, I was told there was no storage unit reservation for me and that I should have checked in online. Very misleading because I was not directed to do that when I reserved the unit online. Third, I brought the truck back before my return time, went to my unit to see another lock on it which was the wrong size storage and a worker scanned it and said it was occupied. My movers, that I paid for a set time and service, took my items to the storage I was given and had to be told to wait until it got figured out. I was given another unit and asked to pay again when my first month was supposed to be free. My movers had to take the stuff from the first OCCUPIED unit to the second unit I was given which caused me to go over the allotted time and EXTRA service they had to provide. I was not happy with my experience which caused me extra time, money and frustration. Something needs to be done and staff needs to be trained properly and more knowledgeable. The manager that was on duty on Friday the 11th of March, day shift was very, rude , disrespectful and arrogant to customers including me. The unit #(2120 )that was given to me was not checked before it was given, it has uhaul building materials in it and my unit has no light, it’s very dark. I took my lock and keys after 11am and saw uhaul stuff in the unit and reported to your manager on duty, she did not ask her stuff to remove the stuff before my moved in, after 3:30pm when I came back to the unit with my belongings, my unit still was not empty so I went to the desk to ask why my unit was still not empty, and your manager looked at me from head to toes and arrogantly responded that she will get someone to remove the stuff from my unit. She was very unprofessional and disrespectful in her words and body language, til her coworkers had to calm her down and ask her to help them remove the things from my unit. Moving forward, Uhaul should have their staff checked a unit before assigning it to customers before another person encounter what I when through with this manager. If your cameras in the front, hallway and at my unit area are audible u can look it up and confirm my case. Thanks for your understanding. I have multiple units in the facility and after years of business. The service here has gone to crap. The doors are locked at night even though I pay for 24 hour access. The security card does not work. With all the crime in the area, they expect you to unload and load outside so you can get robbed. Move-in had some issues due to the employee helping me put me in the wrong unit this causing me to receive emails saying I didn’t pay, my locker was going to taken away, and other alarming/confusing/stressful stuff. After a few days, the manager straightened it out but then my autopay on the account got deleted when they updated my account with the new locker space. This caused me to have to pay a penalty for late rent. After I fixed that, all was fine.
