I have a younger face. I'm nearly 23, old enough to rent a Uhaul. The guy that checked me in/out still gave me the up and down before I even presented my ID. I understand his skepticism. He was doing his job. However, I could have done without the up and down glance upon arrival, and the condescending â€œdid you put gas back in the vehicleâ€ as I walked away. Otherwise, my experience was fine. I just would like to be treated as a paying customer like everyone else.Stephen M.

Every day I have a different rent rate. I did not go over my mileage yet I got no reimbursement. No one ever answered the phone hold times were ridiculousHeather M.

The lights on back of trailer were dim. We were stopped by fellow motorist who said he could not see turn signals or brake lights. We pulled over to check. They worked but were very hard to see. Staff was very helpful in hooking up trailer and getting us on road quickly.Amy P.

I was very disappoint with U-Haul as a company they sent me to three different location they kept telling different stories, kept me on the phone talking to different people. They told me about 24 seven access they sent me to the first one and they didn't have a truck and then they sent me to second that was closed. just confusing and they had me running around all day. Then they told me to call for a discount when I called I kept getting shipped to different people no one knew what they were doing.James M.

I had a hard time finding the lock box and I'm still not even sure that I found the right area. When I called support there was a 40 minute wait time. I'm not going to wait in a parking lot for 40 minutes. There was no orange box as the website indicated.KENNETH D.

I had this truck for my full hours when I picked it up I was told I had have it back by five. Had a 9:30 pick up but you all wouldn't take my cash app card so didn't leave until 10:30. Truck lift door is jam cannot push all the way up or come down. Ha to move only one load became had to get someone to stand keep from my things coming out. This truck have been reported twice before this time of same problems. Yes I'm upset for the totally services I got. The manger was very nice said work orders are in but out of his hand. I lost my time paying helpers to help me move a waste of my time were lost. Due to this matter I'm requesting a free reenter to accommodate me with my belongs. Thank you for this matter.EVELYN G.

Not a thing! Richard did not have a trailer for us so.......he called Michael at another location and found us one. Hew reserved the trailer for us at his location without a hitch. Michael changed our reservation to an earlier time without a hitch. When we arrived the next morning he was very pleasant & in a jovial mood. He was very professional along with his happy mood. He explained everything to us and sent us on our way. I must say both locations need to teach other businesses how to treat their customers because it certainly was a pleasure! I asked for a one way vehicle and they messed up my reservation. So I have to bring the truck all the way back to where we got it which cost me extra miles and gas. Was very unhappy about it and I called the store and asked if they could fix the reservation and was told he would call me back never called back so my family just decided to take it back. Have the employee inform the customer where to bring the vehicle back and where the key drop box off is for when returning keys after hours. Also have more lighting outside for when returning the vehicle and having to walk around the buildings and search for the key drop box which I was unable to find due to the employee not providing any information in regards to returning the vehicle or the keys.Jame L.

The staff present at the location was always very friendly however every time there was something wrong I was always told the manager needed to be call and that the manager would call me to follow up and rectify the situation and that never happened! I was charged for something I was told the manager would fix and update because of an inconvenience on their behalf when I initially attempted to move in. Seems like a manager needs to be present during all operational hours to avoid situations like this or train the workers properly! The inside of the unit was not ideal. The ceiling was dirty and caving in with some holes in it and there couldn’t have been any pest control because I had to take my own bug spray frequently. Moved out a week after I made my monthly payment and was told I wouldn’t be prorated for the 3 weeks that I won’t be in or no longer have access to the storage unit.Tinesha H. | Overall Experience

Super LOVE the free month of storage with the one way trailer. Also, hit a snag in my travels as my mother ended up in the hospital while moving from SD to SC. Staff both in person and on line were SO SUPER helpful with the changes I needed to make. My only complaint is being charged for the month of storage that should have been free. No lighting on the facility or inside the units so its impossible to see inside after dark. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I was located at the WEST Columbia site in SC of Orchard. This site had a .problem with bookkeeping. One time they accidentally got the locks switch on my storage so they had to issue me a new lock because they didnt know which key belong to my storage, I paid my storage off August 2019 and removed all my items out of this storage unit into my new resident. Almost a year later July of 2020 they contact me saying they about to sell my unit. I explain to them I moved my items out in August 2019. They state its items within the unit and because they found a letter with my name on it, the items must belong to me. I explained that when I cleaned my stuff out it did become dark. I may have accidentally left a paper or two because it was dark but my items was removed August 2019. How could I have a storage there for an entire year and it never got sold, I never got a letter or a call until July 2020, That it was an error.MELISA Y. | Overall Experience

I am appalled by the lack of customer service practices regarding contacting customers when they are broken into.
