They said drop it off. We will check it in later. That is all. And on the phone at that. What the heck is going on with the people who rent your U-Haul equipment out. And with U-Haul all together. I did not deserve to be done this way.

Kevin C.Had a previous problem with the trailer last week with a tire and the district manager looked at it and said nothing was wrong with the trailer. Carl had someone else look at it and the belt was busted in the tire so Carl took care of the problem and i finally got the car i needed to move. Carl went way iut of his way to make sure I got to use the trailer this weekend

Cindy S.Why not keep the fuel tanks full? the truck had 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up and I returned with over 1/2 tank but U-Haul wouldn't reimburse me for the extra gas. At $3.29/gal I took a huge hit. Car rental companies keep their tanks full and their customers do not risk getting ripped off on gas. Take note please.

Carey P.There was a very nice older man running the pick up location, he hooked the trailer up before I even got there and without me asking. He answered all my questions accurately, was knowledgeable and was happy to help. Unfortunately, my cargo transport trailer tire busted in the middle of the 1700 mile journey. I noticed, while demobilized on the side of the highway, that the brake fluid reservoir for the cargo transport trailer was bone dry, the cap was only hanging on by a thread, and the boot attached to the cap was shot! The tow truck driver filled up the brake reservoir after finishing with the blown tire and the truck's braking power was 200% Better. It explained why my rental vehicle's brakes were horrendously below average when keeping in mind the capabilities and load. After I informed Uhaul of all of this, of which by the way , Uhaul customer service was very assuring and helpful and all I wanted was a percentage to be refunded from the rental cost. I was told to speak to the drop off location for help after I drop it off and a possible discount for putting such things as my life's possessions at risk, as well as my life and the life of other individuals. There are people who are not very mechanically inclined, and had that gone unnoticed by someone else renting, driving through the Colorado Mountains would have been extremely dangerous. But, The drop off location in Utah was extremely incredulous, not taking into consideration and denying the circumstances explained above. and providing me with absolutely no help and assuming Uhaul would be of zero help as well. Given the situation, I would like Uhaul to help provide me with a discount on my rental, and to please contact me.
Gene T.I originally agreed to pick up my uhaul in Mariah Hill Indiana, which is 10 minutes from my home. Two days before pick-up I was told the u-haul would be in Jasper, Indiana, which is 30 minutes from my home. The day before my pick- up I receive a text saying my u-haul was in French-Lick, Indiana. Which is 58 minutes from my home. This is a poor way to do business. I received no compensation.

I had a reservation for auto transport 18 day prior an company didn't have equipment I traveled to for location in Louisville an had to go 1hr 45 mins out my way to get equipment... the gentleman there had us waiting another hour only because they wasn't informed i was coming. The whole experience was very poor an upsetting.. but there customer service was excellent hook up everything for me an got my car secured..

kathy W.This complaint isn't about the French Lick location. It is about J&J motor sports near Jasper Indiana. I reserved a truck at J&J. I showed up at the place on time after a 3 hour drive only to find out that no one there could do the paperwork!!. Most places were closed. I found one place open in French Lick. A 45 min drive there and back on top of 3 hours drive. And, we had to get a bigger truck because non below 26 foot was available. So, I spent 30 extra dollars and gas and 50 more for the bigger truck. I'm very unhappy.
Jason S.The man did NOT hook up the lights at all. Just said to go over some bumps & they'd come on, We ended up calling roadside assistant. Also, he could not account for the difference of charges on my credit card. We will not deal with him again !!!

Office is in a literal shack, in the woods, exposed electrical wiring in office.. trust me I have photos and will be posting them if I don't receive a call. 2178982949. Nobody should be renting from here.

He went over & beyond to help our move be as easy & convenient as possible, allowing us to drop off the truck & equipment at the most convenient location for us. My overall experience at the pick up point was extremely positive!! I so appreciated working with this gentleman! Five star plus!!

Bradley T.Reservation was made through the 800# because your web site was not working, the man at the site had problems with the web site, was there for an hour trying to get our truck, then was told to have it back by 10am the next day, did not have the truck a full 24 hrs but had to pay for the full amount of time.

kathy W.When I reserved my truck, I chose to have a dolly added to my rental because I was going to be moving heavy appliances. Upon arrival, the U-Haul associate informed me that there wasn't a dolly for me to use, but I could use the furniture dollies if I wanted. At the site where I was to load the appliances, I found that the truck did not have a ramp. Maybe it was stated in the fine print, but it came as a surprise to me and it was an inconvenience.

James .D G.I reserved a truck a wk in advance. My location was not going to be open so I sat up the 24/7 phone pick up. When I got to my pick up location & began my phone pick up it didn't work. I called 4 different times to speak with a representative. Each time I wanted 15 minutes plus to speak to someone. Each time I was told they fixed it & never did. Finally I was told there was a glitch in their system. This was 2 hrs later. The only choice I was given was a location 45 mins away! Since I only had my moving crew that day I had no choice. I drove the 45 minutes one way & started on my way. It began pouring rain. I turned the wipers on & there was no drivers side wiper!!!! We also had to do the move in the pouring rain because of the delay!!! Worst moving experience I have ever had!!!!!!

kathy W.The place looked like a scary junk yard with a rutted,muddy, potholed drive, abandoned vehicles, weeds and junk everywhere and emaciated stray dogs. I was waiting for the sound of banjos or meth labs exploding and would not have stopped to drop off the truck there if I hadn't had my husband with me. Absolutely horrible place.

sandy G.Actually the whole experience was sub par except for the gentleman agent located at the pick up location. Originally I called the 800 number to lease a 10' truck for that afternoon. I was told the location closest( Jasper IN) to me only had a 20' truck available. The agent told me I could not get that truck for the price of the of the 10' after putting me on hold and checking. I was told the closest 10' was French Lick IN. Approximately 30 minutes out of my way but I would get mileage added to cover my trouble and that we could drop off at the Washington In location. Great! That's roughly a 15 minute drive from Petersburg IN where we needed to take our loaded truck. BUT when we get to French Lick I was told that the Washington IN location is now out of business. Now the closest location to drop off would be Loogootee IN. We dropped off the truck at approximately 8:15 pm and we headed home. In the car I called the 800 number again to report that the truck had been returned. I was then told that I had to be at the drop off location in order to check in. The drop off location was closed until Monday morning. So we turned around and went back to the drop off location. This time I used the express check in provided in my email. There was no acknowledgement that I had checked in so I decided to use the online chat of which your agent Dawn was the most helpful out of everyone I dealt with that day. I'm still unsure why I had to turn around to return to the drop off location since it was closed. Oh and after all of this I was still charged for extra mileage and our load was delivered to a location right on the highway along the route. Plus when I called the drop off location Monday morning to verify that it had been received I explained what I went thru and he tells me that uhaul policy is to give the next sized available truck for the price of the one wanted. Wow! If that's true I was put thru a bunch of hoops that weren't necessary in the first place and your agents need clarification on your policies. It will be a LONG time if ever before I deal with uhaul.
