Location was great, experience was subpar. Booked a trailer supposedly in Brockville, was sent 20 minutes east to Johnstown to get it. Did NOT purchase $8 Safemove, was charged for it anyway. Asked the girl about it as total seemed high, got a shrug in return. Trailer itself was fine.

Trailer was covered in snow and ice. Straps, buried in ice and snow frozen solid. One tire in need of being changed. Where I picked vehicle up, the owner worked for MT0, advised me to take back roads. I'd be fined for unsafe trailer.

Last customer left the cargo area with leftover dirt and scraps from previous move including a rusty meat clever. Weird and just unsettling. Otherwise, the driving experience was fine.

Fix the trucks clean the truck truck was terrible your not allowed to smoke in truck but ashes were all over water bottles all over full of mud on floor garbage on floor and need people that know there way around a truck tryed to tell me the truck was empty but he didnt turn truck on to see if there was gas in it and I just put gas in the truck and he watch me do it It was the worst time ever

The Canadian U Haul website defaults to the American site. The staff at 17 acre were helpful on the telephone to complete my request. A good experience and good equipment.

The Spencerville location provided good customer service. And the truck itself was in excellent condition. My problem is the extra time and money I had to spend. I had to travel an additional 150 km to get and return the rental truck when I had a 10km move, and there is a uhaul dealer 2km from me which I could not use, even for the return. That resulted in an extra 2 hours of travel time on an already extremely busy day. Even though uhaul offered a discounted rate on the mileage, the extra fuel used made the rental cost 30% higher than I had budgeted for. I would not recommend uhaul until their policy changes. Or, make sure you budget 30% more than their marketing advertises so there are less surprises.

My drop off location was changed from the one I got when I scheduled the truck. Went to first location and there was no drop off. Signed up/onto app and drop off location changed to near Ottawa. 45 Minutes away instead of a close by drop off location. This is extremely inconvenient and wasted gas. I had to spend more money on gas because of this inconvenience. I had to clean up after other people too because the truck wasn't cleaned by anyone. Dropped off in at a semi closer location, and still had wasted a few hours of my day. Your staff is polite and helpful so they deserve all the credit.

This trail is in poor working order. I needs two tires on the right side replaced. They are not road worthy. Tire pressure was way down only 19 lbs. Front left hold down strap should be replaced. It would not connect over the tire. And the tail lights did not work.

Very disappointed with the service we received. First we were supposed to pick up the U-Haul in spencerville but they said no vehicles were available so had to drive to Brockville. Although there was a truck in spencerville the whole weekend when we drove by several times. Then when we picked up the truck in Brockville the battery light was on. We told the person there and she said she couldn't do anything and we had to call the 1800 number. When we called them instead of giving us a different truck they said that we had to wait for a mechanic to come. Instead of waiting we went directly to the mechanic who was very helpful and quick. However all of this put us behind by two hours and we were late getting out of our old house. It should not have been our problem to get it fixed during a very stressful time

rental Contract was never crystal clear. It changer all the time on the e-mail confirmation info. Had to phone at least 5/6 times to get clarification on the rental. It was wrong each time . After returning truck to the original rental office we discussed the issue of the extra day use charge that was not part of the contract ( had truck for 2 days) and I was told an extra 1 day charge of$45.20 WOULD NOT be charged to my credit card. I was out of the return office for 10 minutes going home & I got a an e-mail that I was charged the $45.20. After a couple of calls back to main office I was returned my money. My God!!! CONTRACT # 88794443 We did get moved and thank you to U-Haul. ( but frustrating)

My pick up and drop off locations were amazing! I did experience one issue but it wasn't with my pick or drop off location it was with the scheduling department. Online I picked my local stores for the pick up and drop off locations, however they were both changed to different locations which was fine for my pick up but my drop off was decided after I picked the vehicle Up and I was given a location that was an hour away from my home. I think when a new location is given you should call the customer to confirm if the new location will work. After calling the help desk, I explained my issue and then transferred to explain my issue again and the lady was trying to explain why it was changed there, I understood that but she didn't understand what I was asking. I just wanted a drop of location closer to my house. In the end a new location was found but it shouldn't be this complicated.

I originally booked a truck from this location, your office in Toronto called me and told me there were no trucks available and I'd have to go to brockville, I said that's 30km out of my way and was ridiculous, got a truck from my original location. She was very helpful.

Add printed receipts. electronic everything doesn't work. Also, the return process for deposits needs to be updated. I spent over an hour with the agent trying to get them to give return the outstanding amount on my deposit. they kept telling me it was done automatically, which it wasn't and that if I had problems to come back later. This is unacceptable. After an hour they finally returned the deposit via debit, although they would not print me a receipt, which is also unacceptable. If you can't give me paper proof of contract/transactions I will rent somewhere else.

Customer service wonderful. The staff member on duty when we went to pick up the trailer was not able to get the computer to work , he apologized and said we could pay for it when we return. WOW, so refreshing to have a customer service agent who knows how to treat customers. Upon return a new agent was on duty, he had been told what happened by the previous agent and was able to take payment for the trailer. Best experience renting from U-Haul in a long time. I will recommend this location to anyone looking to rent and for us in the future. They earned our loyalty. Thank you.

No blankets available, truck/windshield was covered in dust and when I questioned why he charged me for 489 miles when I only needed around 300 miles ... he said I would get a credit at destination based on actual miles (310.4mi) ... I was told at destination they could not.

Wouldn't give refund back... Said needed to pay extra milage first so I did that but machine wouldn't except credit card or debit card, was broken. Waited almost 2 hours before they finally agreed to deduct from the refund amount. I asked for this to be done first thing but they refused.

Employees have a rough time with the U-Haul website. This occurred another time that I rented a trailer. Update or help them with upgrades for the site.

I ordered 3 dozen furniture pads and a dolly along with a truck. The furniture pads & dolly weren't there when I came to pick up my rental. the man and woman working didn't seem to care and did absolutely nothing to rectify the issue. They told me I needed to call Uhaul. After being on hold for 10 minutes, They further suggested that I go to another location to get furniture pads and the dolly. Terrible service. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

The location we got the trailer from didn't give us the right trailer As a result when we dropped the trailer off in Guelph They called me 2 days later telling me we never dropped the trailer off It took quite a while for them to figure out the problem We rented a 5x8 trailer we ended getting a 6x12 she dosnt fux the paper work so was a shit show not good and nerve racking

When your workers quote a price they should at least have some knowledge of what they are doing. After paying the quoted $230 they wanted another $100 when i returned it. The truck was so terrible i got stuck in very little snow in the middle of the street in ottawa, several times!

The truck we rented was not clean inside the cab. When we returned the truck, the initial mileage was not correct and they tried to charge us almost double of the initial estimate. The people working there did their best to accommodate us and help correct the problem, but the overall UHaul rental system doesn't seem very good. We also had trouble when we were reserving the truck because of issues with the U-Haul website. Overall I was not impressed and I will not rent from U-Haul again.

It took almost 30mins to get my deposit back from this location, and the employee had to call his boss at my request...I only had the trailer for a few hours, but he was determined to charge me for 2 days...The phone call to his boss resolved this issue, as the boss was the one that rented it to me that afternoon, and i did get my deposit back, but not without added stress to an already stressful move and a very long day.

gotta have a better 24/7 system. Keys were supposedly in truck but truck was locked Once I called and drove to a uhaul/pickup/gas station that would help me with a new truck, my truck was covered in snow, didn't have much washer fluid in it, maybe half. (Put my own stuff in it), and the driver side window wiper was broken and was a nightmare drive with, on 400 series highway with basic weather conditions.

Location had an untrained cso managing rentals on a computer program she never used. At first had a reservation under friend's name, but it couldn't be used because it kept defaulting toa 2 day rental, it was a Saturday, computer thought shop was closed on Sunday so only wanted to give two day rental. So booked under my name, wouldn't let me book it as computer thought shop closed at 6pm, but so computer wouldn't let me book, shop closed at 9 pm. It was 645 pm. Next step treat it as walk in nrw rental. Bigger mistake, she was on a telephone the whole time talking to daytime agent, getting system to accept inputs. 8 pm now, and I needed the rental for 4 hours. Get some 24 hr processing support, what a waste of time. And she had the nerve to be upset with me about after a 75 min wait

Steering was loose, rough ride, no cruise control. It only had 73, 000 km too. I drive some heavy trucks too 3/4 and 1 ton and the ride better.
