Uhaul changed my reservation site 2 times in 4 days - the final site was less convenient, tho still workable. The signage was poor at the site and, even tho the website said "self pickup" that was not true - we needed to get the keys from a live, albeit pleasant person. The check engine light was on, and i was told that it was just a sensor issue, the truck should drive fine...but "take a picture just in case". The truck did drive ok overall, tho any touch of the brake often prompted it to go immediately and abruptly into low gear, even at highway speeds. This didn't feel especially safe. The truck was clean. I was told I could just drop off the key upon return, which i did, only to Then do the QR scan and read directions that I should have first taken a picture of the odometer and gas gauge but could no longer retrieve the key to start the engine for those to work. Oops, I'll know next time, but clearer directions before would be helpful.
James GI selected mobile check in so I could go after hours. When I arrived there was no way to check in. So I downloaded the app, which found my reservation, but when I clicked it it said it did not find my reservation. I went into the building and found a person there. He said they are closed, but i explained my situation, he looked and tried with my phone (again, it showed my reservation, but then again after clicking it it said it wasn't found), and then decided to help me get my van anyway. I really deeply appreciated this. But, I won't be trying to do mobile reservation again.
Mikaela RI paid for a dolly but there was no dolly in the truck. I asked an employee if he could get me the dolly he paid for. He said they didn't have any dollies. He said he'd ask his manager to remove the charge for the dolly. After my move when I returned the truck, I had a lot going on and forgot to follow-up regarding the dolly. The charge was not removed. Also, the truck was not functioning well. It seemed to be revving too high at times. I think there is something wrong with transmission.

YOMI KI had requested two furniture dolleys and one set of twelve furniture pads. Upon arriving, neither were in the truck. When I asked, the attendant reported they were out of furniture dolleys, and did not offer the utility dolley until I asked for it.
Julia WNo visible signage to direct you to the U-haul office - only CDL class signage. The greeting was horrible and the customer service SUCKS! I ordered a dolly and only found out they did not have any on site AFTER they charged me. I had to remind me that I ordered packing blankets and was handed them balled up. When I asked if they were cleaned, the young guy said "they should be". I would never rent a truck from this location again.
TIFFANY SWhen picking up, I was provided a link to take pictures before leaving the lot. But at return, there was no such easy process, and the link to the return form was hidden in dozens of pages with contract. I did not find this until after I came home, after the scheduled return time. Then being in risk of late return fee, which is bordering fraudulent
Kent JI was charged over $500 for miles I did not drive, and the U-Haul team never fixed it. I called repeatedly and asked for help, and was promised it would be handled over and over again, but it never was. I’ve used U-Haul for every move since I was a kid. I’ve moved across the country three times with U-Haul. I never expected to use another service, but you’ve officially lost a customer.
Michelle STwo of the dolleys I had ordered weren't placed on my order. I didn't receive a notification of any kind to alert me of this and was picking up my uhaul before the office opened that day so there was no easy way to get the equipment in person. Truck was clean and functioning w/o issue - started with 3/8 of a tank though, which for anyone having to do a larger amount of driving would have required filling up. Having said this, the man I interacted with after the experience at least took the cost of the dolleys off my charge, which I appreciated, but not having them made my moving day harder than it should have been.
CHRISTOPHER HThe inside of the truck had red mud in it. The equipment I reserved was not available so I had to drive to another U-Haul location to obtain it. The staff was polite, but what’s the point of the reservation if the equipment is not going to be available. The online application allowed me to book for pickup at 8, but the store did not open till 9. The late opening and the hassle with getting the equipment cost me a 2 hour delay getting started moving and caused me to have to rush to make the drop off time.

TREVOR MIf there isn’t equipment at a location, there shouldn’t be an option to add it. I requested furniture pads and a dolly, only to be told they only have a truck there. I didn’t have time to go to another location.

JONATHAN TDon't move customer's rental dates without calling them. I had to go to 3 locations drive around for several hours and finally leave my state to get a trailer on the day I needed it. This ALL could have been solved ahead of time with decent customer service. You (U-haul as a corporation) get zero stars for completely stressing me out and making me scramble with the movers. I think I'll use so.e other method next time.
ALLISON RWe didn't receive a receipt when we dropped off the vehicle and did not get an email or text confirming that the truck had been returned. So we just had to trust the system, which thankfully worked because our account shows no outstanding amount due.
JON NI reserved a 15 feet truck and 2 dolly and they didn’t have any available at the moment. When I was about fro leave with the truck and no dollies, the employee very nicely try to help and provided me with one dolly that he was able to find.

Maria KThis location did not have the equipment that was rented to support my move!!! They only had the truck… I had also ordered Dollie’s and such! If a site doesn’t have the equipment, it shouldn’t show up on the website as having the equipment!
Meredith WAfter picking up and getting to my location for loading, the trailer had a lock on it. I called U-Haul and no one answered so I drove the trailer back. No one there had a key. They switched out to another trailer which had not been cleaned.
Stephen WThis location did had the truck, but did not have any of the equipment i reserved with it (dolly, etc) I was sebt to another location to pick up the missing equipment and they had all their equipment already reserved. I was forced to buy a dolly for my move. I wad told i could return all equipment at the same location, but there was no one to receive things. Everyone was kind and trying to be helpful, but overall a poor experience.

James FThe main area of the truck smelled like horse manure and wet dogs, almost as though someone is using the truck to haul animals to a farm or something. It smelled like crap. It was dirty. It's almost like customers just return these trucks and nobody checks them or cleans them. And the price isn't cheap for renting these things. I was told to look for the truck with the serial number shown in the app at the pickup location, but at the drop off location, I was asked to take a photo of where the truck is parked so that the next family or customer could come and know where it is. And I was REPEATEDLY contacted to confirm the drop-off date so that families who were waiting for trucks could obtain one. It's like asking customers to help you support your company's business and do your job for you. Terrible. I've never seen such a thing. Lousy service and was calling them repeatedly for weeks, asking for someone to call me back, but each time instead would just get the voicemail of a cell phone rather than a place of business. Nobody answered or returned any of my calls and I got no contact of any kind until one day before the pickup date for the reservation, even though I had left multiple voicemails for the pickup location and specifically requesting a call back. One assumes when there is a phone number available to call during business hours that somebody would answer or at least return a call but it's like nobody even worked there. Absent customer service and a BS pickup place, dirty/stinky truck. Never using U-smell again. Had it not been for the regional office or the main company number support team, I would be totally lost.
Amir FHaving materials (blankets, packing paper) on location would have saved me the time and hassle of having to go to another UHAUL location to pick these items up. Informing me of this when I made the reservation would have been helpful and I suggest you change this. On a positive note, the person I dealt with was professional, easy to work with, and great overall.

Cesar RLast two times I reserved a truck, I ordered pads and the last one a dolly. Both rentals, when so picked up the truck they had already run out of pads and did not have a dolly. This location and the K street location in DC. If I reserve something ahead of time, why does it matter that “ you had a rush in the morning and ran out” which was the reason at both locations. This is frustrating.

Jinny KThat location was actually set up for 24 seven I returned very safely and there was a lot of space available. I definitely recommend for free family and friend this location. Very convenient for return or pick up.
Sham AThe key was placed in the lock box in a position that caused it to jam against the steel plate when you slide it open. I had to push it extremely hard to get it open.

Michael HCDL training center was a little creepy but the automated drop off went just fine. Again, the two gentlemen from Lightning Movers did a great job and were very friendly but your website did not allow me to rate them.

GILBERT N- mobile check in was not available to me when I tried. - location opened up late (past 9am), which further caused delays in my move - I dropped off the truck hours early, but it still appeared as open contract 24 hours later. This took 3 different calls to resolve, each time the customer service rep becoming ruder and ruder.
