I reserved a truck for one location several days in advance. I received a call telling me I had to pick the truck up from another location instead. What is the point of making a reservation then? When I received my truck, it had no lock, and did not have the dolly I had rented. when I came back when the location opened (4 hours after I picked up the truck through app pickup) they let me know they did not have any dollys to rent but they would gladly sell me one??? Again, what is the point of a reservation? overall, I don't think I'll be using Uhaul again. Penske or budget truck seems like the appropriate option for my next move.

Cara CThis is the first time I have had a bad experience with U-Haul. First of all, my location was changed which was closer to my location where I was going to load the truck. I agree to new location via a phone call. My original request was for mobile pickup. When I arrived, the app did not work, and the store was closed. The sign on the front door said it opens an 9:00 am but apparently it was really 10:00. There were not keys in the lock boxes either. After call the number on my contract, they could not fine my reservation number, which took some time to resolve. I realize I was 30 minutes early to pick up my truck, but the app did not work, and the store didn't open until 10:15 after the manager was called to tell me someone was on the way. There was another customer waiting to get service too. After the store opened Josh was not the friendliest person to deal with. It took him a few minutes to get the computer up and then seem put out. We finally got the keys and were on our way which was after our original pick-up time of 10:30. If the mobile app had worked and the keys where available, we would not have had any issues.
CHRISTOPHER VFast pickup, helpful staff, truck was parked in a way that made it easy to pull out. Truck fuel was pretty empty on pickup but I tend to expect that at these third party locations.
SAMANTHA SNo problem with either location. Pickup in Monroe was timely and drop off in Denton was close to my home.
HENRY MThis is not my first rental experience with U-haul but it was my first time selecting after hours/unassisted pickup. Picking up this vehicle was a terrible experience (for multiple reasons, it felt like we hit every roadblock/error/issue imaginable), the truck we received did not handle properly and jerked violently when traveling under 20 miles per hour. Robert LI got a discount for dropping off the truck at a better location for U-Haul. I was told I could get some money back for dropping off the truck early but was told by the front desk that no money was given back to me. It is not a big deal, but could upset customers in the future.

The location was closed with a paper sign showing “open at 10AM on Monday” despite it being 1PM and the store was supposed to be open.

April AOut of all the locations in Denton, this new location is the best! Everything was clean and the equipment was well maintained. The front desk associate was very kind and quick to help us out! I will use this location any time I need a uhaul in Denton.

Stephanie PWORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE! First, I couldn't pick up in Frisco where I ordered because they didn't have a 26' truck. Even though their policy is to GUARANTEE w/in 24 of your move. 2nd, they didn't have any 26' truck at the 2nd location in prosper. Made me drive to Denton only to get a 20' truck Without ALL the equipment I ordered! Keep in mind...my reservation was at 9am it's now 11am with tons of people waiting at my house !!! So in summary: I DID NOT GET : THE LOCATION WHERE I ORDERED THE SIZE TRUCK I ORDERED NOR THE EQUIPMENT I ORDERED!! So I lost almost 3 hrs of my day Moving all the way past 11pm Still unloading! U-HAUL YOU SUCK! YOU COMPLETELY RUINED MY ENTIRE MOVE! And charged me 276 ! Never again! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 WHAT SIZE

Tony GThe cab of the truck was dirty. Not this locations fault, but the app to pick up before hours did not work. It kept telling me that we were not at the location while in fact we were parked in front of the truck. After 15 mons of fighting the app I opened a chat with customer service and they directed me to the website as I was using an android phone.
TRACY MThe furniture pads and furniture dolly that were ordered were not provided. The agent refused to show how to properly secure the car unto the tow dolly.
Francesco CTruck had 174K miles on it...transmission was poor and hard to find R and D...very slippy. Truck was clean but I was just waiting for a breakdown. It got the job done and the people at the location were fast and friendly. Just think the truck was sketchy.

It took too long in 103 degree heat to go through all the steps with glitches in the app. We picked the mobile option so that our pickup and drop off would be streamlined with less time at the location and that was not the case. We had difficulty finding a place to park the U-Haul truck.

Annice WI’ve reported this story to at least two people who are uhual employees. Not third party contractors but employees. I called your Himan Respurce line yesterday to report how a third party agent violently interacted with me your customer. I have shared this story with several, one of which who is a DM survivor and who works at WFAA. Until Mr. Mclellan is reprimanded and apologizes I will continue to share this story. I, a uhual customer, felt threatened and intimidated by an employee of a company contracted by uhual. This is a uhual problem. I will make sure this story is heard as violence has no place in our society.
Adrian HI'm not sure what happened at this location, but my entire reservation was messed up. I don't know if it was the man that helped me, or the person he was on the phone with. When I arrived, the truck I reserved was not on the lot. A couple came in a few minutes after me with the same issue. He was on the phone with a representative to find out where the trucks were or to send us to other locations. With how broad the Denton area is, I did not want to have to drive all over the place to find another 15' truck. I also had movers scheduled to start loading my things up within 2 hours, and I needed to pick up a truck ASAP to finish packing a few items before their arrival. I agreed to change my reservation to a 10' truck. This is where things get messed up bad. I received another person's reservation, which had their name, address, and contact information, but I paid for it and my driver's license number was listed on this person's reservation. I am near-sighted, so I didn't catch this at first, and I was very stressed out. I didn't receive the dolly or half dozen furniture sliders that I asked for either because he "didn't have any." I later received a call about 6 hours later regarding my reservation while I was driving. I had to call the number back after I pulled over but spoke with a different person. This conversation led me to believe that because their system crashed, my reservation was showing that the truck was not dispatched to me because it was the wrong reservation, that it had been fixed, and I would receive an updated and correct contract within the next day. My final destination was the Oklahoma City area. The next morning, I called the 800 number provided to see if I could add more miles to my trip since I had to return to Texas to load items that could not fit into the truck. The person I spoke with informed me that my reservation had been cancelled, and I would need to go to a UHaul location near me. I did that, and it took the manager at the store a painfully long time to have someone correct a mistake that no one wanted to inform me about nor admit to. They had the nerve to correct the person's reservation I mistakenly had, but they could not correct mine nor provide me with information on why they messed up my entire reservation. My reservation was cancelled twice. I also became scheduled for a pick-up on Saturday at 6:30 pm (7 hours later than my original time) in Grand Prairie, which is over an hour away from where I was living in Denton. I didn't receive any notification for it, but why would I pick up a second truck when I had one in my possession? Overall, whether it was the man helping me in person or the representative he was speaking to in order to help me and the couple who did not have the truck for their reservation. OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES. The person at the Edmond, OK location helped me so much more than any of these representatives I spoke to on the phone or the man at this location where I picked up the truck from. Understandably, the person at this location isn't entirely at fault for what happened, but he could have helped prevent it. He did not call the person who was supposed to turn in the truck I had reserved at 11:30 am and immediately called a representative to figure something out instead. If he had taken more time and paid more attention to detail before handing me the keys, I think this could have been avoided and the contract could have been corrected. This was the first time that I used UHaul, and it was an absolute disaster.
Karly NI will not being using Uhaul ever again. Everytime I reach out to customer service everyone is rude and the rep I spoke with online just ended the chat I want someone to call me out this ASAP
Nicholas HMatt at 380 Storage was fabulous. Uhaul messed up the reservation completely and did not even have us on the computer at the drop off site even though it was on my reservation paperwork. Matt called his boss and cleared it for me to leave the van there. Even though I have used Uhaul in the past I will never do business with them again. They have messed up reservations one too many times and it has cost me a fortune in the end.

John RThe manager explained the filthy state of the truck by saying that he can't check it every time someone turns it in. I was charged a cleaning fee for the state the truck was in when I returned it, even though it was better than when I received it.
Rebecca WAdd clearer pictures of the state of the rental vehicle so that the renter can see what is already messed up/ got messed up in the process. We did not have any issues but the pictures were a bit far ( for example the license plate was dented when issued but it was not really clear in the picture).
Sofia EYour online app to rent and return the vehicle is horrible. Then when we called for assistance, we were quoted a 45-60 minute wait to speak to a representative. Totally unacceptable. We will not be renting from Uhaul again with this type of service.

Carlin KThe app wouldn't properly load upon arrival so I had to go inside. However, the representative was friendly and helpful and it wasn't a huge deal. But it would've been ideal to do the mobile pickup as intended.
