The return location was originally 34 N. McKinley in Coats, NC, but was also changed to a location 7 miles farther away at a shopping center.

This is the second time we’ve used this location for U-Haul rental and both times it has been a smooth process with knowledgeable staff. It will continue to be our convenient go to location for U-Haul rentals for as long as they still provide the service.

This was the worst part of my experience with Uhaul. I ordered a 20' truck, 36 blankets and a utility dolly. I did not want any last minute surprises, so I tried to call them to confirm they had the blankets and dolly. There are NO working numbers to reach anyone during business hours. I called U haul directly and was told that "their system" shows that this location does have the supplies on hand. When I arrived, they did NOT have the blankets or dolly, which left me scrambling the night before my truck was to be loaded. I proceeded to go to the second location (where I was picking up the 4x8 trailer to haul to PA at the request of U haul) but they do not keep any accessories on hand. SO, I had to go to a 3rd location (which was in Coats, NC). That location was VERY helpful and without them I would have been SOL. Might I add.... I called U Haul on my way to the 3rd location to ask if they could help set up the order for the 3rd location so that I did not run into any issues. The lady basically told me there was nothing she could do and that I could just take care of it when I got there (not acceptable). This gentleman in Coats had to spend a LOT of time to get things figured out because 421 Vapor in Dunn DELETED my order for blankets and a dolly because they said they could not close the transation for the truck with it being in there since it wasn't in their inventory. This made it almost impossible for me to get what I needed from Coats because (get this) I COULD NOT RENT ACCESSORIES UNLESS I RENTED A TRUCK OR TRAILER FROM U HAUL - which was literally outside the building because I had just picked up the truck AND trailer. We ended up having to fudge the system because the only way for me to rent those items was to enter that I was renting them locally - then turn them into the Moon Township location when I arrived, explain the situation, and they would accept them into inventory. Thankfully, the staff at Coats and the staff at Moon Township were both very efficient and very helpful otherwise it would have been a complete nightmare. Please note that while I am disappointed with the 421 Vapor location, I am more disappointed in U Haul as given how long you have been around, you should definitely have a better way to verify who has what equipment so that your customers are not left scrambling at the last minute. With everything that is involved with moving, worrying about whether or not the equipment that you ordered weeks in advance will actually be available is not something that you should have to deal with. Please figure out a better way to have visibility of all your inventory.

the location of pickup was 10/10 recommend. the staff were very helpful and patient with me being a first time renter; even with returning the truck. All around a great experience. I’ll definitely be using this location again.

Took truck with little over half a tank of fuel. I returned it with same amount. Next morning I was charged $73 to fill the tank. I called but no refund. Never again will I use UHaul. Rate this experience 1 out of (10)....

I had to clean out the truck because the previous renter left the truck full of pet hair. When I dropped the truck off I would have been charged 25 dollars for someone else's mess.i would like to be compensated for me having to clean the truck from NC.

I reserved a week ahead of time. I reserved 2 dozen blankets and 2 furniture dollies. The location had 1 dozen blankets and ZERO dollies. So I was told I can go to another location to pick up the dollies with no hassle. That is horsehit in itself, I should have to run around picking up something I reserved. But then THAT location didn't have the dollies. I am moving again in a few month and will NOT be using UHaul.
