Benjamin VI turned the key to the truck and the check engine light was on. When someone is moving houses, the last stress they need is the reliability of the truck they are renting. If trucks have mechanical issues like this; don’t check them out. There was no one there to talk to about it either and all I was offered was roadside assistance. Not happy.
Adam BMy “guaranteed” reservation was changed without asking me if that works. Uhaul changed the time and location without calling or texting. I later found the email saying “my reservation was comfirmed” yet it was confirmed to different conditions than I requested. It affected our plans and the overall experience with Uhaul. The worst part - it’s not the first time this happened. Uhaul just does whatever is convenient for them. Bad customer experience.

Faisal SThe vehicle exterior was dirty, which I guess doesn’t really matter. It had no washer fluid in it, which I didn’t realize til I got on the highway. Fluids should be a standard top up. There should be instructions as to where to access this branch. The address is on the front of the building, and there’s a sign inside indicating you should go to the back for u haul rentals.
Beth TCheck engine light on, truck has little power so uses more gas thus more money they charge you, there’s no boxes you can purchase, no blankets to use, no dolly, nothing. And the guy at the front overcharged me for cleaning fees when I left it empty and was super rude! Don’t recommend it’s an absolute money grab!

hemraj pIt's a very unprofessional looking location with U-haul boxes used as barricades and printer paper signs everywhere for directions. The service desk where you actually speak with is far from where you are standing and located around the corner of a room. Poorly set up U-haul boxes are stacked up like a kids playground to purposely block you from proceeding. This makes communication difficult due to distance and poor sound travel and very awkward. Contact with the representative is only available through their cell phone via text as they would never answer their call. Their hours are only from 10am - 1pm daily, so checking out and needing help will be difficult outside of these short hours.

Halle RSo much went wrong here. They didnt really tell me where the office was and it looked unprofessional. I had a surprise charge when I showed up that I was told was a damage deposit of $210. I was told to take my own pictures and text them of the mileage and the truck and to refill to the same place. It was not an exact measurement, just the empty full gage. There was another step sent to me via text but it was sent well in to my day after Id started using the truck and moving, when I was really busy. It was a form to fill out but again, I was very busy. I returned the truck in the shape I got it in and put the dollies where instructed. The back was swept out and clean but I was later charged $25 for cleaning and I shouldnt have been. I was also charged $18 for fuel I shouldnt have been. Before I got my refund I was asked if I was coming to the store or want a cheque. I said Id come in. The day before I was going to I got a text saying they sent a cheque and I was upset cause I said they obviously know I'm moving and wouldn't be able to get the cheque from my old place. They reversed the cheque and said to come in. I was sent MULTIPLE texts trying to get me to arrive early and then I texted saying I was on my way. When I arrived I waited outside a locked door for 20 minutes until the person who pestered me to come earlier finally walked over and unlocked it. When I went inside they were unable to reverse the charges and made me try about a dozen times before I said this is a risk to my card and account information and I wouldnt do it again. They agreed to send a cheque for the rest of my deposit to my new address. It was extremely unprofessional and I felt scammed. Every step of it felt like a cash grab and I am canceling the card I used there cause it was very suspect and I felt scammed. Something is very wrong here. I have used uhaul before and never had these issues. I will not be going to this location again and no one else should. I will be leaving a google review too.

Marvin SAfter reserving a 15' truck at another Edmonton location, 7403 - 17th ST. NW they did not have a truck for me at the pick up time. After waiting 30 minutes while they attempted to find me a 15' truck they sent me across the city to the Parsons road location. This was done with a too bad attitude. At the Parsons road location not much assistance and trouble loading driving license and details onto their site. Keys were handed across the counter with no review of the truck, paperwork or conditions. Will NEVER go to these two locations again.
Robert MAlthough contract said gas tank was full, upon fuelling at first stop I discovered that the tank held roughly $30 more fuel than was in the tank when picked up. Trailer brakes didn’t seem to do much. Clearer instructions on the braking system of the truck should be verbally passed on to clients. Stickers on the dash instructing clients to read the owners manual for operating instructions, to me, reeks of off loading company responsibilities and liabilities on the paying customer. When the truck was returned it contained at least 30 more liters of of fuel, at a cost of roughly $1.85 Cdn,, than were in it when I picked it up. The needle on the fuel gas, when it appears to indicated full will actually move much further to the F when filled completely, something your agents are either unaware of or don’t care. I would appreciate a credit for the 30 litres I was shorted at pickup.

marvin dWe were told of one location thsat we selected close to work, we get there and it's not there. I paid my team extra time to get the truck. Then the drop off was across town in Calgary. Worst rental ever
Keith SThe social distancing in a stairwell is a bit overkill. As a company, uhaul was unclear about payment options for cargo vans, although this was not the fault of the individual dealer.

Rico TI was forced to pay extra for insurance even though it wasn't agreed upon when I scheduled the rental. My options were to pay 112 extra or be stranded with no vehicle and no way to work for the week.

Omar FWorse experience i ever had with uhaul. I had my truck booked for two days and different people from drop of location started calling me and texting me to inquire if I can drop of my truck on end of day one. It was very suspicious that different people were talking to me with different numbers and one time they asked me to drop of my uhaul to different location all together. When I said can you email me official change of drop of location that guy just refused and kept asking me over the phone to drop it off to different location. I don’t feel safe with this location as they are sharing my personal information to different people. Never going at this location again, Uhaul should check people’s background before giving them franchise.

agyekum sIt was overall experience..the only thing that was leading while pick up was the photo of green garbage bin. I believe description should make it clear as we kept looking for green bin for a while 😃 also while returning it says drop at door instead of near garbage bin as the back door itself also has a drop key box n instructions so that was confusing but then it mentioned the code so we decided to drop key from where we picked. Rest it was great

Natasha PA boarded up storefront with a person who could care less about customer service or care. Totally in it for the money and he doesn’t get that caring a little will go a long way for his business. Never rent from here. There are other locations close by.
