I was sent from one location to another saying we don't have the trucks available. I stood outside in 110 degrees in other location to get my truck for more than. 15 mins while the only staff member was doing the paper work. I filled all information before coming in and then too he asked all those details again , what's your drivers license number / upload picture / primary contact / secondary contact. After that long 15 mins in 110f the trick that we got was the dirtiest uhaul I have ever seen!! I mean I cleaned it for 15 mins so that I can just sit and drive. This was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with uhaul. I almost wish they should return my money for all this pain. Never going to use them again.Piyush K.

First and foremost I'd have to say is to make sure sure that your trucks are safe to be driven on the streets of California. The one that I rented at your Morongo Road, Desert Hot Springs location was pouring fuel out of the gas tank right on to the exhaust system. I feel fortunate that I wasn't incinerated in a fire ball of an explosion or as the fire marshal said it "your lucky that you didn't die in that thing ". I was promised a credit and a refund for this truck rental and I still haven't seen it.Julius V.

the pickup location and staff there were excellent and helpful. However, the uhaul staff that I dealt with were abrupt and I felt treated like a criminal. I rented the trailer and two days into the move I had a major family emergency that took me out of town for 5 days. Upon my return, I resumed my MAJOR move with a very heavy heart and I returned the truck clean and full of gas to the same place. The woman on the phone from uhaul acted very put out and I was at one point even threatened to have the truck reported stolen. I apologized for my lack of communication and concluded our phone call. I would have (and still would) appreciated possibly a discount and maybe a little bit of compassion. I've never had a bad experience with uhaul but perhaps this was the perfect storm.DANIEL C.

Its kind of hard to find, the sign is small and its a storage facility, you don't see any trucks and there is no place to park. Also one block down is a big uhaul business so I thought I had the wrong place.anita E.

The attendant Gus seemed pre-occupied with his cell phone when I picked up the vehicle. Upon return of the vehicle, he yelled out the window for me to get the mileage and take a picture of the gas gauge. When I went into the office another gentleman was sitting there (I think a friend), and again he seemed pre-occupied with something else. I will say the truck was very clean and well maintained and worked perfectly for the move I completed.James Z.

I had no problem with this location as the person was very helpful and friendly. I rented two u-hauls, a 26' and a 20'. When I returned both u-hauls, a day early, I was overcharged for the extra day I did not have it. They also had me down for renting two 26' u-hauls when actually I rented one 26' and one 20'. I was charged for the extra footage that I did not rent. I returned both u-hauls by 10:00 as this was the time they were due back even if it was a day early. The person did not key it in until 12:00 making me pay for the extra time. I made a claim to be reimbursed this money. Hopefully they will come through. It has been a nightmare trying to get them to correct the problem.julie D.

I was at the drop off location at 9:35 since that was my drop off time. There was no one there. I called repetitive times to the number listed on the summary reservation and no one answered. Finally, a lady showed up to the drop off location around 9:50am and said that the business opened at 10am on Sunday (no one told me about it). She also said that she was new and that she was going to have to call her boss to walk her through the process. I waited until she got situated. It was a really annoying experience. I will never rent a U-Haul truck at private storage places!! My experience was a nightmare!Laura G.

I rented a U haul truck at Indio ca, it was great at first, while I was loading my things in the truck, I've a hole on the right side top of the truck, I did pay attention into it I thought they knew about the hole. While I was check out, Mr Darrel hood he is the Regional supervisor of southwest self storage U haul at Indio ca, he said he has to charge for the damage that I did not even done, first of all the lady that check me out "did not know her name" did not do a walk inspection of the truck. They just give the key, Mr Darrel hood was kind enough to let me me go without charging me for the damages that I did even done in the first, tomorrow I will go to Indio ca to confront that lady, I feel very angry and discourage of using U haul, in the first place they should have walk me through the truck, and let me see it for my self. There is always an issue with you guys. I told every representative I spoke to that I needed the truck for 2 days. There was complications. I had a hitch installed by uhaul, and I have had nothing but trouble from the wiring harness. You guys did a sloppy job. And I would actually like it all done again, Properly. And with ZERO missing parts from my NEW vehicle. I absolutely HATE that when I call a specific uhaul location, it redirects me to an OFFSITE operator. They can't tell me what really is available nor help me. I'm actually convinced that at least 1/2 of them don't even input anything as they say they are. You guys don't communicate well with each other and each location I've been to is understaffed. All these have created huge inconveniences to me. Which then directly effects my family. We were told by the California Highway Patrol that the truck rental company should have supplied us with chains of the route required chains and they did cot offer or have chains available.Mike M.

Take shorter lunch breaks! I left my cell phone on the seat. First I called the office to report it and they were out to lunch. Then I drove back to the office and waited an hour and a half for someone to show up and unlock the truck. They were very helpful after that.JOHN V.
