Honestly, I was hesitant to rent a U-Haul truck from a tow yard… I couldn’t have been more wrong. The folks over at A Tex Towing are top tier pros in service and customer, very pleased and impressed!

The self service was a bit cumbersome and I did not receive the utility dolly or moving blankets that I ordered for rent.

BRADLEY WI reserved a truck along with an appliance dolly and a utility dolly, and even called the day before to confirm everything would be ready. Corporate assured me the equipment would be in the truck. When I arrived at the self-service location—surprise—no dollies. I called corporate again, only to be told that earlier that same day, the pickup location had removed the dollies from my reservation without notifying me. No call, no email. Just gone. To make things worse, the truck was only 3/4 full on pickup—even though it was supposed to be topped off. What’s especially frustrating is that U-Haul had no problem sending me over 20 marketing emails and texts leading up to the rental—but couldn’t bother to let me know they were changing my order at the last minute. With no staff on-site, I called customer service. They told me I had to provide a credit card before they could even begin trying to locate the missing equipment elsewhere. Completely absurd. I ended up calling around myself and finally found a U-Haul across town that had the dollies—but now I’m being charged for the extra 15 miles it took to pick up what I had already reserved and confirmed. To top it all off, I wasn’t allowed to return the truck with the dollies. I had to drop off the truck, then load the dollies into my sedan and drive them across town separately. This experience was chaotic, mismanaged, and needlessly stressful. U-Haul seriously needs to reevaluate how they handle customer communication and self-service rentals. I won’t be using them again.

I was told it would be fixed, yet I had to call back to find I now needed to start an "ACTION' form and wait for the place of pick-up to call me. Well, the poor guy had no idea what to do. Valerie AThis is first a towing company with a dirt lot with uhaul equipment. I called and spoke to a guy there about dropping off after hours. He was nice but the grounds were not lit well and it was a little muddy. Other than that it was good.
BRANDY LIncredibly disorganized location. Not only is it a mud pit but also they park every single truck one inch from the other and expect you to get out okay on your own. On top of that I was missing the dolly and furniture pads I requested. Went to talk to someone at the office and it looked like they were sleeping on their desk. A pillow up against the window. Worst experience ever.

Carsten HI reserved my truck months ago and requested a newer with lower miles since we were driving so far. The truck we received had 100,000 miles. It did the job so we are grateful for that. We were also shorted on the blankets we ordered. Everything went fine. We just expected a better experience.
Jon Athe alignment on the truck was really off so it was pretty shakey and would veer to the right often without a strong grip on the steering. not safe to drive.
cindy tY’all need to take a rake to the back lot where the trailers are stored. Someone also needs to take a magnet and walk the property. There was tons of nails in the ground.
Shawn DOnce again this location added the $25 safetow charge when I specifically declined it when I booked with the app and again at pickup when I told the guy directly that the last time I rented from here he added the $25 safetow incorrectly so please don’t do that again. He checks you in with his phone standing in the sun struggling to see - unlike most other places where they do it in the office. I have been moving and have rented uhaul trailers at least a dozen times over the past few months from many different locations and this location I have used twice and both times they charged for the safetow when I specifically declined it. UHaul refunded it the first time and I expect it to be refunded again this time but I will not use this location again for this reason. Also this time the trailer had a bunch of dirty moving blankets in it that I discarded because they were filthy.

Boris PI loved 24-7 check in. The dirt lot that the trucks are parked is hard to find by gps and hard to drive on. Car had warning lights on and was very low on gas when I went to rent it. Interior was heavily lived in.
Maria RThis place is a scam and I will be seeking repayment. I drove from A-Tex towing to the Pearl Lantana apartments (4 miles). From Pearl Lantana to Extra Space storage off Boston lane in Austin (3 miles) and from there back to A-Tex towing (less than 2 miles). They charged me for over 350 miles and I drove less than 20 total. If I do not hear back from management or someone from U-Haul I will be reporting this to the proper authority.

Anthony LI was charged $680.99 for a trailer I did not take to Texas. I haven't been to Texas since 2002 when I joined the Air Force. I have tried to get this charge removed and have been unsuccessful. Please help me get this refunded.
Tyler JI was not able to check in with my phone. The truck I was assigned was not supposed to be taken off the lot. The gas tank was completely empty. The truck performed fine on the journey.
DAVID SThe location felt very unsafe. There were Trump flags hanging everywhere and political signs. The owner made me and my daughter very uncomfortable by making comments about our appearance. He was also very rude and cursed at one of the workers. I would not use again.

Jesus R- We did not get the dollies we rented. - No one informed us ahead of time that it would be an issue. Had we known we would have never picked it up. - U-haul sent us to two locations For them, not having any dollies at all, we decided to just return the truck less than an hour after we picked it up. - We have had to move our moving date to Monday because of U-Haul.
