I'd revoke whatever rights Uhaul gives to joe johns to rent out equipment. When i arrived, the lady working had a breath of alcohol and mentally wasnt all there. They decided to give me a trailer that was tucked behind trees, with a pole maybe 2' from the tongue, so the wheel wells of the trailer were stuck behind the pole. I had to hook up the trailer myself, as the woman was very disoriented. I then had to maneuver my truck all over the place, trying to get the trailer out as this disoriented woman is hollering at me, directing me to go in directions that would only make the trailer further stuck. After removing the trailer from the bad spot, i had to help her push other trailers out of the way so i could fit. I'm not even sure how much she charged me for the trailer, she probably doesn't know either. Overall a terrible experience, and i'll never go to this location again.JAMES C.

Although the customer service was great, the location was extremely filthy and secluded. I felt as though I'd be kidnapped, killed, and never to be found. The vehicle looked as though it had never been cleaned in all its life and I am sure I could have caught a communicable disease. The seats were disgusting, and the entire day's drive, was spent sneezing because of the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. I had to go to my clinic to get medical grade disinfecting wipes, to clean what looked like years worth of filth... just off the steering wheel! The truck's engine light was on the entire time and all I could do was pray that I didn't break down. There was no inspection or any documents given, and the blankets I received, were sitting on the porch to what looked to be an abandoned house in a horror film. There were dozens sitting outside on a bench, and the ones placed into the back of the truck for use, were not in a bag as they usually are, and when I got home, and opened the truck, the entire box smelled like a garbage dump.. all from the smell of the blankets.... that I ended up not using. My goodness, this was by far the worst experience EVER. The neighborhood dealers need to be held to the same standards as the Uhaul centers, where the representatives take pride in the appearance and overall maintenance of their vehicles. I took video footage of everything just to make sure I was not charged for the condition of the vehicle.Lazara M.
I filled out the information for my rental online. The Uhaul dealer whom I was suppose to pick up from did not have the truck I needed so my reservation was sent to an another dealer. The transfer happened 1 day prior to my rental pick up date. Well, the new dealer pulled up my reservation but we have to fill in all the data for the rental. Not sure why. I took 20 minutes. Not the best start to my rental.steven L.

Explain why when online when I went to rent the 15' truck on a Thursday it said it was $99 get the the uhaul place and there is a sign out at all uhaul places for that same truck $39.99. When I went to make the reservation on online the night before it was $39.99. And this is during the week not on the weekend. And even when I went to the drop off location and that is where I got my storage unit all the employees all even said it don't make no sense but they were not able to change the price to save me money. They all tried to have the best customer service skills that they could possibly have. Now I do not think it is fair cause the only reason why I had to pick up the truck at a different location is because they were the only location that had the truck I needed. And I stayed in town I only went from the pick to drop off which my apartment was in between the two locations was less then 10 miles.Deborah W.

We dropped off the truck after hours, but there was plenty of space to park and turn around. My only suggestion is to add a sign to the right gate noting that the drop-box for keys is by the left gate. Took us a bit to find it.Richard L.
We were charged $20 for â€œsweeping the vanâ€ but when we picked it up it had a cat pee couch plus a bunch of other stuff in it and even though we weren't charged, the furniture pads we paid for were not there.WILLIAM C.

The Truck was on empty I was worried it wouldn't made it a gas station. There was a indicator on the instrument panel. I thought it was low fuel and when off and on several times. There needs to be a document to show what those warning lights mean! The outside mirrors where hard to adjust also, There was a slow coolant leak that became worse during the trip which did not leak when the truck was stopped and running. after 300 miles at 1:00 AM I had find help to make repairs. This should have been caught before the truck was rented? NO ONE at the pickup place explained anything about the truck.Dennis W.

This place was an absolute joke. First of all, I reserved a location 2 minutes from my house to pick up and uhaul calls me and says this A1 boat & RV storage is the only location with a 20 ft truck and auto transport( which is a lie, the location I reserved had multiple of what I needed... as well as I passed several uhaul locations with the truck and trailer I needed while en route to A1) .I needed the truck that day so I just sucked it up and drove all the way out there. It's 27 minutes away. I arrive to find an old junkyard down a long path through the woods... Broke down cars every where, Noone around to help. I eventually found a sign that said office and went in there and found an employee, or the brother or son of the owner... I'm not sure. Everyone here is related and Noone finished 5th grade. This whole place was a scene straight out of a wrong turn movie. I informed them of the massive inconvenience of having to drive so far from home and asked if I would be charged for mileage since yall made me come all the way out here. I was given a very snoody reply of "yes, mileage starts once truck leaves lot.. its not even that far." Then I basically had to show them how to operate the uhaul system and what products I was using and where I was dropping off even though I made a reservation and did online check in so all of that information was available. I was under the assumption when you made a reservation for pick up at a certain time, your truck/trailer would be ready to go. This was not the case.. After walking the "employees" through the check in process, I was instructed to follow one of the brother's sons cousin's out to my truck/trailer. We walked the entire property looking for the trailer using a number he wrote down on a piece of paper. After searching several minutes, he goes back to the office to realize the number we were looking for actually belongs to a truck. So we go back out and continue hunting with new number in hand. After finally locating the correct trailer, we spend another several minutes looking for the truck. After eventually locating them both, we had to assist the "employee" in backing up the truck to the trailer as well as help install the trailer to truck. The whole ordeal took almost an hour, I could only imagine how long it would've taken if I wouldn't have made a reservation and checked in online. This is by far the worse experience I've ever had with uhaul. It's baffling you would let such an unprofessional and unorganized circus be attached to the uhaul brand. I will never use uhaul again.Tyler M.

Trailer was blocked in, I had to help the guy move stuff around to get it out. Once we got to it, I opened it up to find it filthy. I had to wash it out before loading our items in it to avoid soiling our furniture. I had reserved an appliance dolly, which they could not locate. they told me they would have it removed from my bill.BENNY M.

I arrived at my pick up time at 7:30 tried to log on to the website to complete the pick up which it would not allow me to do I had to speak to 2 customer service reps before the issue was handled by that time it was 8:49 before I pulled out of the location. Was charged for a 4 hour rental was only able to use it for 2 hours and 15 minutes. So needless to say I didn't have enough time to move everything. Very disappointed. Where do I begin. I picked up the truck at the worst possible location. The road was barely wide enough for a single car to go down and I had to drive this 26ft truck through it. It was not clean. It still had sandwich wrappers in it from the previous renter (Which i threw away)The truck was less than a quarter tank so I had to put gas in it immediately. I took photos and let them know that night that it was almost on empty and was told I would get a credit for it. The credit they came back with was $8.75. It costs 100$ to fill it up! I returned the truck with half a tank and they want to charge me additional money for going over the miles??? Absolute garbage of a company and shameful way of treating customers.Jeff M.

I was quoted a $49 cost to rent a 5x9 trailer with ramp. when I got there, they had the trailer but charged me $79. When I mentioned it the young man said they would adjust it on the return end. I was not the only one. The person ahead of me had the same thing happen.robert L.

This location is run by a scrapyard. Street going to it is very narrow with a 90 degree turn. The office is what you would expect of a backstreet scrapyard.John S.
I am not happy at all with this location. I was told a price, I paid the amount due, then I recieved an email and a text about some sort of promise note to pay an additional 90 dollars. I never seen or signed any type of promise note to pay any additional money. I will never recommend anyone to use this facility ever. They are very unorganized, very unprofessional, and I feel cheated.Kevin G.

The owner is very nice. The problem is the location and the condition of the property: substandard. Hopefully they will be able to improve the site aesthetically, and in terms of signage. Also, the direct neighbor is a nasty junk yard, and the house across the street flies a huge Confederate flag from a flagpole. My daughter and I had the willies and couldn't wait to get out of there. But the owner is a nice lady. I hope she can improve the place.Timothy J.

Since this review seems to be about this particular location, I will stick to that. The truck was in good condition but getting the key out of the lockbox was a hassle due to it being located over an ant hill... I know, this is Florida and such things are hard to avoid but come on, maybe put some grass or concrete down where you're going to place your lockbox post so customers are being bitten while trying to follow the instructions in the app to obtain the code for the lockbox. Also, I had reserved 3 dollies - there were zero dollies in the truck and since it was after hours, nothing I could do about it. I am still trying to get a refund for the cost of said dollies. It has been nearly 2 weeks...FRED K.

The location doesn't clearly direct you to any office. It just looks like a creepy junk yard. My uhaul was dirty. When I returned the uhaul I was sent an email saying that it was not returned and took a week to confirm that I had returned it. The people their were very kind and friendly. I am sure improvements can be made! I wish them well.Maria A.

This is a dirty, scary looking place down a poor looking road. The trucks/trailers and you park in dirt. I had pre-registered to speed things up .. yet it took more than half an hour to get my trailer. The staff (2) were very uncaring and showed very poor customer service skills. I had to ask THEM to check my turn signals and brake lights.Glenda L.

When I picked up the trailer, these people were nice. However, when I had to turn around in MA, my destination from Florida, due to the corona virus closing all the schools, my job destination, I got turned down from rental place due to no employment. I had to stay in hotels, and when i went to drop it off, the woman had been calling me to re-rent the trailer up north ...This was insane as to go north, the trailer cost $122.00...to have re-rented to go south, it would have cost over $1500....This woman was completely rude, non-empathetic to my circumstances...then refused to allow the return at her facility, and to boot, refused to help me turn the damn trailer around in her very tight drive...it took me a half hour to try to get backed out of the lot with no assistance...I blocked traffic...I would not have pulled in had I known...this place is also disgusting...trailer trash...excuse the pun!!!!Regina J.
