Online experience was a bit complicated and reservation was incomplete
ALFRED REnded up paying $418 for something that even when doing the math at 157 miles for 3 days ($1/ mile plus $40 a day for 3 days) should’ve only costed $277 and not $418. Will start taking my business elsewhere. This is about the 3rd time U-Haul has done this to me and my family. Never again. Was also told everything would be taken care of and nothing is making since. Even with them giving us our “ military discount”

TERRY MI rented a uhaul to move furniture from my mother-in-law's house to my house which distance wise was 44 miles away. I had to pay for 90 miles (even though I didn't need them) which is okay. You never know what may happen. When I turned my uhaul in, they charged me an additional $61 and change stating that I went over my mileage. Thank God I took before and after pictures as well as videos showing my starting mileage and ending mileage as well as the equipment and truck. I didn't even know I was being charged because the lady at the drop off took 10-15 minutes just to "email" my receipt. Then when I finally did receive my receipt and I called her, she acted as if she didn't know what was going on. She told me to call the uhaul office where I picked it up or call the 1800gouhaul number. Okay, so I called the original pick up location and they had me on hold for 30 minutes after them saying "hello, please hold." No one ever came back to the phone. So I hung up and called the 1800 number. I explained to "Wendy" what happened and thankfully she was able to assist. I sent her pictures of both my starting mileage and ending mileage. She told me that I would be refunded and that someone would be reaching out to me within 3-5 business days. Okay thank you, however I should have never been charged in the first place. If this has happened to me and I was able to catch it in time, I wonder how many more people this has happened to? Is this normal for the uhaul company to rip people off? Charge them for extra miles knowing they didn't use them? Do you not contact people before charging them? If you rent from them, PLEASE take BEFORE and AFTER PICTURES of your MILEAGE!!
KEVIN PI was charged for 193 miles when I only went 34 because the lady at the front counter wrote down the trip instead of the actual milage.
LESLIE SChris was instrumental in my obtaining a rental truck. He was excellent! The only reason I don't rate UHAUL as poor. This location was great! The rental experience was horrendous!

DELITA TNot really sure. Attendant did not charge to clean the filthy truck. I appreciate that. However, I was charged for extra mileage. This was due to having to travel an extra 20 miles in the opposite direction to pick up load as there was no 15 foot truck available in my home town. Actually there was a truck in Union City but the representative at Hornsby's Garage was unable to get it released from being missing. This cost me an additional $47. Rep in Clarksville unable to discharge additional charges.

Bryan SMake sure equipment is in working order. The truck's a/c did not work. It also overheated several times. The staff had several scams running. We made our contract online, subtracting the extra items such as moving blankets (automatically charged BY DAY) out of the contract. When we arrived, these items were added back in, and we had to wait OVER AN HOUR to get the contract changed, and of course the money will not be refunded for 10 days. Also, the person working INSISTED that we return the truck to this site, in spite of the fact that we were moving out of state. She said it would be cheaper, then of course tacked on the extra mileage she said didn't apply. These people have scam after scam. I would NEVER rent from here. When we complained about the a/c, we were told we should have turned around, and brought it back. We asked if they would have paid for the gas, mileage, unloading, reloading, etc. Ha! Of course not. This is the worst Uhaul business I have ever seen.

The 130.00 was taken from my account the same day I was told about the movers, which I canceled their service, due to the movers wanted more money.

Jeffery LI was returning the truck and had gone through 90% of the steps to do it on my mobile device when a member of the staff showed up asking me for the key and said it'd be "faster" if she checked me back in. I told her she could proceed. She noticed I was waiting around and told me I could go. I told her I wanted confirmation that the truck had been acceptable upon return (from cleanliness and fuel perspective) and she seemed bothered by this? I would not return to this location or recommend it, simply due to the personnel's attitude/demeanor.
