Upon drop off, the man at the counter had to call someone who was not on shift for guidance on how to handle a UHaul drop off. The uhaul truck needs an alignment.

The Tow/haul button on the steering column doesn't work so I was constantly in low-gear even with an empty truck. The dome light cover was off when I picked up the vehicle and I couldn't get it to reattach. Besides those things the truck was clean and functional. It was also a little frustrating that when I went to pick up teh vehicle, the business wasn't open, despite being in it's normal open hours. I get that it's a small business and if someone's running late or has to leave the floor for whatever reason that they may close up. It was just inconvenient to find the correct number, have them call me back, and find a time to come back and pick up the truck.
Chris CThis location is a furniture store and not an actual U-Haul affiliated location. This location is taking this on as a new venture for them. You do get a discount at the furniture store from renting the U-Haul at their location. So if you are conviently renting from here please verify with the store owner and not take U-Hauls word on the store hours. The hours of the actual location should/needs to be updated with U-Haul as I had to wait 2 hours to pick up my scheduled reservation. This delay put me 2 hours behind moving schedule. I was scheduled from 9-4 and did not receive my rental until 11 a.m. The sideview mirror on the 15' vehicle that I rented was held together with packing tape so you couldn't adjust it. That was kind of dangerous when driving but luckily, I wasn't going very far. Truck was a beast though and drove like a champ! I was not given back any discount or anything for my time wasted. I even had the vehicle back according to the return parameters and even within the 4 pm time slot I requested it for. The communication was good from the staff as everything was by text or phone calls so that was a plus. Not sure if this is how U-Haul rentals are going to be going moving forward but quarterbacking rentals via phone with text messages from different agents and using picture texts when you drop off. Is not very appealing to me, thankfully I don't plan on moving again for 15-20 years.
Jason SOverall the truck was good and easy to drive. But at the time of reservation i was supposed to pickup my truck from Christiansburg which was close to my place. But in the last moment the pickup location was changed which cost me additional money in terms of additional fuel cost and rent car to new pickup location.. likewise my drop of location was changed in the last moment which also caused me additional money.
ZAIN UNot an official U-Haul office. Inside of a furniture store. No ability to purchase packing supplies and the transaction had to be done over the phone with a third party. We had to wait on furniture customers before being serviced. Poor decision to house U-Haul in a furniture store.
